What has he done off the pitch to suggest he is very unlikable? It's just rubbish mate sorry.
I don't like his character, again if you love him ( and that's normal as he's your player ) then fair enough. Simple.

But you don't know his character. That's my point. Just because he may be a bit of a nightmare on the pitch doesn't mean he is like that off it. He seems like a nice kid off the pitch.
Pulled off a disappearing act today, but I like him. It's hard to dislike any of the Spurs players really (maybe Danny Rose is the exception). They usually play fair - don't dive around or try to wind you up or kick players around unnecessarily. None of them go out of their way to talk shit about United either, so what's not to like?
Agreed. Not for a pen or anything but that was a blatant dive and he should be banned for it.Didn't the FA introduce retrospective bans for diving? That was clear-cut.
Very, very different from Rooney, who had genuine rage issues and looked like a ticking timebomb a lot of the time. Delli-Ali picks and chooses his 'battles' and moments and never goes at it with those who are more than willing to give him a genuine confrontation rather than a few choice words. No different to Rooney when he was younger. Always played a bit angry. I'd say Rooney did so even more than Alli tbh.
Except he's 10x the player Herrera is

Rooney's rage was uncontrollable to the point it was obvious he was 'going to blow' if the momentum kept up and he lost a lot of his game when he had to make the conscious effort to control himself. By contrast, Ali just has silly flashpoints, and only against certain select players even when wound up.

I didn't know Ali was raised in care. Might explain the need to not look soft in a confrontation. It doesn't explain why he actively goes out of his way looking for trouble, however.
Why 10?Except he's 10x the player Herrera is
We need that arrogant type of player. Too many precious players in our squad.
Not sure why you think I'm defending him? Also his actual physical outbursts beyond the generic handbags are minimal compared to genuine ragers - there is a conscious intent when a player picks and chooses his moments like Ali does. I'm no saying it's intelligent, because obviously it isn't, but it's very different to those players with genuine anger issues who just see red to the chagrin of everything for a while. He's not one of those who goes apoplectic once triggered like countless others and he's very quick to back down when those who are ready and willing to give him some needle arrive on the scene - as seen once again with Lukaku and Valencia yesterday. What was that tackle in the Europa League all about last season then?
People are searching for reasons to give Alli some kkind of credit for being an idiot here. No idea why.
He picks and chooses who he tries to kick off with because he is a coward. It's not rage issues but that just makes it even more dumb. If it was some kind of intelligent calculation, he jjust wouldn't do it, because it adds feck all to his game and affects his performance negatively nearly every time, as you saw yesterday.
What are you on about? Firstly we have enough first teamers who have that steak to them, they're just out atm with injuries. And most importantly its ok to have Ibra arrogance when you've been all over and won things. What has Alli won? Aside from number of red cards in a seasonIf UTD decided to go in for a spurs player next season, I'd rather have Deli Ali than Kane.

What are you on about? When fully fit we could trot out the hardest hard bastard starting 11 in Europe

Hang on. What exactly are people talking about. I've seen a few instances now where people have said his attitude is exactly what we lack.
easily impressed bunch of idiots. Yesterday he has an awful game, dived, got involved in situations where he shouldn't have and clearly let it get to him. We're not talking about Roy Keane he's a soft, arrogant try hard.
If we miss what dele Alli has then god knows what fellaini, rojo, Valencia, ibrahimovic have not to mention guys like bailly and pogba who are able to get stuck in too. Absolute nonsense when an English player is involved yet again
Told Young to 'retire with a zimmer frame' to which Young replied 'Let me know when you win the Prem.'
You can epitomise the type of character he is on the pitch by him going at young for something he wasn’t involved in, but when he was clattered by Valencia, he did nothing.
If he was really the kind of hard man some of you are praising he’d even go up for fights he’d probably lose. His self belief only amounts to trying to look tough. He’s a drunk student out the front of tiger tiger on a Friday night
Never said it was just about 'passion'. I agree he's a good footballer my post was in relation to his persona rather than footballing ability. It's not just 'passion' with Dele Alli though is it?
The guy is just 21 year old, plays in midfield and as scored 20 goals so far in 2017 at the highest level, how many seasoned pro midfielders have done that 2017?
It's not just about goals either with Dele Alli, the guy is technically sound and is quite rightly regarded (not just in England) as one of footballs best young talents.

Yes, I agree, we have players that are big and strong...plenty of them. Problem is, that they are far to nice and one dimensional. What are you on about? Just like Wilshire, short guy syndrome

Sorry but anger should never be confused with passion. I’ll agree we have a number of players (Herrera. Mata. Mikhi. Lingaard) that don’t have that aggressive streak about them but you don’t have to walk around the pitch threatening to kick off at any moment to have a winning mentality.Yes, I agree, we have players that are big and strong...plenty of them. Ali has that little Devil in him. This is something that I can identify in him which is consistent to the type of players we have had over the years.
He may be a little indiscipline but so was Keane, Cantona, etc. We just don't have that type of player with that type of mentality, and in my opinion we are in desperate need of one.
I just like him, I think he would be brilliant for us.
