Dele Alli - Performance Thread 2017/18

He's a narky dirty so and so. Very talented but doesn't have to lower himself to such snide behaviours.

The dive that will go unmentioned.

You could sense that the two commentators seen it and weren't even willing to mention it. There was this kind of awkward silence. You would expect more professionalism but Neville protecting English players as usual.

Say what you want about him but I don't think that was an intentional dive when you see the replay, you can see he trips over his own feet and falls naturally.

I don't condone violence but the lad needs a hiding. He might realise he's not Anthony Joshua then who by contrast has earned every right to give it the big un but in fact comes across as very humble and decent.

He shat himself when Lukaku pushed him away.

Valencia, Matic, Pogba, Lukaku, Bailly, Jones

We have the 'ardest team in the league.

Poor temperament. Unlike a Costa who knows how to play the game when he's on the receiving end, when Dele is wound up he's going to act impulsively.

That's rich from a Utd fan omg

Look at the trophy cabinet mate, it’s called entitlement.

But back to Alli, he is without a doubt the biggest wannabe hard-man in the league. Skinny little bitch, wouldn’t win a fight with a single player on that pitch. Dembele I would stay away from however ;)

I know he's highly rated and scores a few goals but I've yet to watch a game where he has been decent.

Last year the Caf was going on about him like he was the second coming of Messi.

On the commentary when they showed it they said there was intent by Jones. They are so far up his arse they they can't admit when he does wrong.
Neville started bleating on about Jones lack of concentration!

The "David Ginola" as it used to be known. Wasn't on purpose, honest ref.

Guy's a decent footballer but a complete pussy, and a snide, dirty, diving little shit to boot. He thought he could bully Ashley Young and got chopped in half. Didn't even try it with any of our other defenders.

Not sure I'd fully agree with the 'he's definitely not a midfield rhetoric' he's had plenty decent games in CM, including last week vs Liverpool.

It's probably because I'm an England fan, but I like the guy.

Nah, that title belongs to Jordan Henderson

So much this.

Dele Alli as a hard man of any sort is laughable, much like Henderson. A Wanyama or Dembele otoh.

I actually think that was a genuine fall over his own feet. Not like the yellow he got for diving. Clearly not a pen, falls happen, Jonesy very hard done by, every right to be upset with that decision.

Would love him at United as he’s a type of player we lack but he’s not a £100m+ player and that’s what it would take to move him.

This thing about him not really being a midfielder is true. Was at the game today and he spent the vast majority of the first half just hanging around up top waiting for a chance to fall his way. Got stuck in a bit more as the game went on but he definitely is not a midfielder in the way that most players are.

Can't think of too many players I hate more than Alli. Such a prick with Scrappy-Doo Syndrome.

Nah he's quality. If he played for us we would all love the edge he seemingly always walks on.

Good chance he could have a Rashford / Martial 2016/17 season for Spurs.
Nothing to worry about but a kick in the short term teeth.

I wouldn't, personally. Genuinely despise him. And also, I think some of stuff he does he wouldn't get away with as much playing in a United shirt.

Good finisher, average otherwise.
