Deadpool (contains spoilers, obviously)

The guy who plays the bad guy is a Liverpool fan. I know Deadpool's enemy is suppose to be crazy and evil, but feckin' stupid as well?
His name is Ajax. Why not Shitpool, Loserpool?

Yeah it's definitely one of those films that just nail what they've gone for. Really enjoyed it from start to finish without any lulls.

Will give it a few week and watch again no doubt
Don't speak

sorry I couldn't help myself

Watched it yesterday with my girl and it was great fun. 8/10

I hope the hardcore fans will look past the new origins story

there's a few different origin stories though aren't there? Part of the madness of the character and never knowing what's real or just in his mad head :D

True, but i think this is a brand new one for the movie. Not saying it is bad or anything :)

Saw it last night with the missus and we both enjoyed it.

Funny, great fight scenes and short. Easily one of marvels best. Loved all the x men jokes.

Yep, hype was worth it. Its gonna take some beating for a movie to have as much great hype / promotional stuff and delivery of the movie imo.

Hopefully box office in US is as good as it was worldwide.

Biggest Friday opening ever for an R rated movie and on track for a massive, potentially record breaking opening weekend. This could be a complete game changer in terms of R rated superhero movies.

Really enjoyed it, worthy of the big hype.

Edit: also glad I was watching this instead of the United game.

Decent enough movie. Censorship here in India spoilt a lot of the dialogues.

I really loved it, but I feel like there was waaaaay too many jokes? Like every third sentence actually wasn't a joke. But I guess that's Deadpool.

Everything else was superb though, I feel if they would have cut down on the jokes a bit it and only kept the really funny ones it would have been my favourite superhero movie. Still, 9/10.

I havent seen many if any bad / terrible reviews (yet). Great sign. Hopefully numbers reflect a great movie.

Just came back from watching it. Really funny and enjoyable start to finish. The film just zoomed past it was so fun. There are too many one liners and jokes but to be fair a lot of them had me laughing so I can't knock them for that.

The scene with Colossus on the high way had me in stitches. 9/10!

I enjoyed it for what it was but the budgetary limitations shone through more than I would have liked. It's doing really well at the box office though so I imagine the inevitable sequel will be infinitely better.

Loved it... Great Disney didn't water it down for kids.. 9/10
For reference Disney had nothing to do with it as it's 20th Century Fox property.

Ok I just thought as Disney own Marvel it was owned by them but as you said they seem to have sold it before Marvel studios came to be. Like Spiderman, X-Men, Silver surfer and F4 and others..

I think they've actually got the rights to Spiderman again now, didn't the deal expire recently?

Yup, Deadpool falls into the X-Men universe which is owned by Fox along with the Fantastic 4.

They haven't got the rights back per se - Amazing Spider-Man and Amazing Spider-Man 2's relatively mediocre box office numbers forced Sony execs to accept that they couldn't really compete with Marvel Studios so they entered an agreement where they share the character. It effectively allows Marvel can integrate Spider-Man into their cinematic universe for storytelling purposes while Sony profit from the increased exposure with this new MCU Spider-Man's individual films. It's a win-win.

Watched it, thought it was great.

I want to see Wolverine in the sequel.

Basically Ryan Reynolds playing the same role he does in every movie, just much more violently. Thought it was entertaining for sure.

Saw it tonight with the mrs and we both enjoyed it. Just a pure fun film.

The only two things I'd change is explaining why he's breaking the fourth wall (going insane) and when he finally reveals to her, it'd been brilliant if she cracked a joke about what he looks like

Definitely recommended.

Brilliant. Big hype, couldn't wait for it to come out, lived up to my expectations and surpassed them. He wasnt as insane as I pictured he would be, nevertheless is was top notch, fun and easy to watch.

Went with 8 lads, all of the same agreement! Good to see similar opinions on here!

Great movie, fun as hell, but as I've just gotten home from it, I have a nagging feeling that it left something to be desired without me being able to put my finger on exactly what.
Looking forward to the next one though. 8/10

Went to see it earlier, loved it. Not attracted to the whole comic book films but thought this was hilarious in parts.

Amazed at the sea of positivity. Only film I've ever seriously thought about walking out of. Had my coat half on during the last scenes. Pure muck. Childish, 12 year old humour.
