Well on way down? Seems a bit OTT.Because they know he's well on the way down and have one of the 2 dim idiot clubs with hilariously sh!Te transfer policies (us and Chelsea) interested?
Which faster starter CB has all the attributes and of course is actually available and open to move
You might be right as i haven't seen much of him but i wish people would stop saying this, it's making me nervous!!!A young Maguire

I'm hoping the people that say that he's quicker than Maguire and capable of playing a high line are right![]()
I don't mind if people have concerns, but not sure how a 25 year old defender is going to be in decline. Everyone keeps saying how he's missed a load of games through injury, so it's not like he's been overplayed either.Bayern fans who watch him week on week out: "He is our best defender"

Indeed, a lack of speed isnt a major issue, a lack of control is, even if we had speedy CBs, a lack of control will expose those CBs, as a team we need to control and dominate the ball, which requires set of players that can play out from the back and pin teams down, City play with Dias & Stones, or even someone like Akanji, these guys aren't that quick but they are rarely exposed due to how City dominate and control the game.
For me my issue with De Ligt is his ability, he isn't a top class CB, maybe a good one but not a top class, the fee Bayern will demand and his wages are too much for someone like De Ligt.
I don't think Maguire is a bad defender at all (certainly not worth 80 million) but it's more of a playing style thing; if De Ligt is quicker and not so slow on the turn as him then that's positive.Saying he's a young Maguire is actually incredibly high praise, they just don't even realize it themselves

It's really not
Like Van de Beek?

I know who I'd trust in that debate thoughThey're not mutually exclusive though.
Why does Romano have to add 'interested even without CL football'
Done it with Ugarte too. If they are interested then they obviously know we aren't fecking playing in the CL.
I know who I'd trust in that debate though
Played 300 fewer minutes of football than Varane last season
Will demand a similar wage.
Ten Hag wants him
What could go wrong eh?
Glad the club has learned lessons and turned over a new leaf
Is he actually injury prone?
Enormous world of difference between "he's shit" and "there are several red flags reminiscent of recent failed transfers"Bayern fans who watch him week on week out: "He is our best defender"

Last summer Redcafe collectively shit on Youri Teilemanns because he was "injury prone" and "on the decline" despite having only one season of injury problems at age 25 while creaming themselves at the thought of Amrabat. He then went to Villa and has been a star in the midfield. Like I said in the player thread, Redcafe's opinion of players means nothing.I don't mind if people have concerns, but not sure how a 25 year old defender is going to be in decline. There are definitely red flags but some posters calling him mediocre are wide of the mark.Enormous world of difference between "he's shit" and "there are several red flags reminiscent of recent failed transfers"
Massively overstating Tielemans’s importance there, he’s actually probably their least important midfielder.Last summer Redcafe collectively shit on Youri Teilemanns because he was "injury prone" and "on the decline" despite having only one season of injury problems at age 25 while creaming themselves at the thought of Amrabat. Every transfer thread people say things like this. Why? I am a normal person who has a job. Regrettably that job is not to watch football and scout RCBs on behalf of Manchester United. I watch our matches and some other PL, CL, and domestic cup matches.
So I know enough to know De Ligt is a good but not fast defender. And I know enough to know that speed has been a critical shortcoming at RCB for us (and why). I expressed the contradiction. And you… asked me a question that would require me to be able to quote you the qualities, contractual details, and personal inclinations (!) of every professional defender in Europe? Maybe on earth?
It’s just a garbage, “gotcha” comment. Do you disagree with the point I actually made? If so, why?
Doesn't matter. He was far better than many posters in here were stating and proved that talks of him being on the decline were wide of the mark. He did very well especially when you compare him to Amrabat that this entire forum were crying out for last summer.Massively overstating Tielemans’s importance there, he’s actually probably their least important midfielder.
Akanji and Stones have plenty of pace, as does Ake and Walker, The only City defender that isn't quick is Dias, and he thrives through reading the game and being top at all other aspects.
I’m not sure why we’re even arguing, I agree with you about de Ligt. My bad on that one.Doesn't matter. Look at Kim last summer. The whole cafe wanted him here and yet he has failed to adapt to the Bundesliga. The same Bundesliga that Deligt didn't have any problems adapting to and has done very well in the two seasons he has been there to the point where Fans who watch him every week have stated he is their best defender and future captain.
I just saw that after i posted,It's actually 'seriously' considering!![]()
If you want to talk facts without hyperbole, then no he isn't injury prone. As someone posted the stats above he's had 2 major injuries in his career so far. One was a shoulder injury so not something that will affect him much as a footballer. Is he actually injury prone?
