What about this Atleti keeper? He's really impressed me.
Edit - just as I write this Real score

What about Scuffet from Udinese? I hear he's really good!
That guy is a legend on twitter! Is supposedly one of the next generation of top keepers...

Look who is third on the list though...

He's huge!
Look at the size of his head. That guy is a legend on twitter!

Leno is taller and far better in the air than Valdez. He is also a decade younger so it would be more easy for him to adapt to the league.Yea but Leno might need a season when the pressure is off him like when Lindegaard were playing a lot of times instead of De Gea in DDG's first season.
Yep. When it comes to keepers and strikers, Atleti are kings.Yea I was actually thinking about Oblak myself for some time now. I mean, Atleti can tell whether the keeper's good enough or not, no? DDG, Courtois, now they've got yet another young and talented goalkeeper on their hands and whenever I watch Oblak play, he's pulling out some good saves.
I'm certain that United are well aware De Gea will be leaving and probably have a few ideas of players to replace him. Valdes is already a pretty good replacement but finding a keeper as good as DDG will be tricky. My guess is we'll go for Lloris as our number 1 target and if that fails we'll target and U23 player and have him as Valdes's understudy for a season or two before stepping up.http://www.manutd.com/en/News-And-F...a-to-be-at-manchester-united-next-season.aspx
I think it's becoming very clear that he will leave. A contract is on the table and he hasn't signed it. We need to start looking for a replacement!
Yes, Lloris or Scuffet will do although I still hope De Gea signs.I'm certain that United are well aware De Gea will be leaving and probably have a few ideas of players to replace him. Exactly, I love DDG, but if he leaves it's not the end of the world, all players are replaceable and no player is bigger than the club. It's extremely frustrating that he doesn't want to stay and become part a positive future for United, but if he wants to go and join that shower of endless bullshit then fine. He'll have a dodgy spell, the fans will turn and he'll be out on his arse on loan at Roma or something.
Players move on. He's replaceable, as long as be bring on some top defenders.

I don't think he'll have a serious dodgy spell. He's closer to a Cristiano or Ramos than to a Robben or Sneijder. No major injury issues or serious flaws to undermine him. I wouldn't blame him for leaving any more than Ronaldo. Madrid are a bigger club than we are in the Spanish/Portuguese world.
We should definitely play hardball, though. If Madrid aren't offering enough, it wouldn't be insane to let him leave for free. If the numbers Google vomits are up (and they may not be) He'll make about 3.7 million pounds next year and Van Persie will make about 12-13. De Gea is worth minimum 15-20 million a year at his current level, being conservative, so if Madrid want to offer us 20 million for him, we should seriously consider him and take a year to determine who the replacement should be.
In terms of a replacement, you'd think Lloris, Handanovic and Leno are the most obvious choices for us to scout. The X factor could be Cech or Casillas joining a team and their keeper becoming available, in the form of Sirigu at PSG, Forster at Southampton (Cech rumoured to maybe be going there) or maybe Mandanda at Marseille.
This should also serve as a reminder that Herrera is up already in 2018, so we need to get him signed in 2016.
Forgot to mention this, but a few weeks ago Terry Payne mentioned on TV here that there is a good chance this will happen. It could start a keeper merry-go-round.I don't think he'll have a serious dodgy spell. He's closer to a Cristiano or Ramos than to a Robben or Sneijder. We are not Real Madrid and we arent in Spain. His family is. His girlfriend is. He will be back home. Much more attention playing for Madrid. More Spaniards as teammates. Better weather. Nicer city maybe. Could lead him to becoming the starting keeper for Spain. More money maybe?People saying they struggle to think of a replacement, I'll be honest I struggle to think why he'd leave
You managed not to quote the rest of my post that explained why I thought this, everyone is aware of the Real Madrid lure, esp for Spanish playersWe are not Real Madrid and we arent in Spain. I stand by what I said, he has plenty of time to make his move later, and if he has faith in his ability he shouldn't worry about it not coming around again
And I answered it in mine.
He will more Spanish teammates.
What does doing a 'stonking' job have to do with anything?
Real also put money into the squad.
They also have a good manager.
They can give a bigger pay day than we can.
I'd rather take my chances with De Gea.If we sign Lloris he might even end up being better than De Gea, you never know.

Lloris. Not worried about the price Levy extracts, whatever it is he will be worth it.
He's yours for £1 billion then. Enjoy.
We're not trying to buy your club, just the goalkeeper.
