He's on his way. Always worried by how nervous/flappy he looks at spurs. Scrutiny/pressure will only be greater at united.
That's the worry with him, he does have a howler in the bag. I'm not against him because of that though, it's just that we already have a keeper, it doesn't make sense to me to spend 30m when you have a man with Valdes' experience already.

...like Bale and Modric?
Personally I would prefer Cech, I think he is a better keeper and we don't have to deal with a pain in the ass like Levy.
Somebody pointed out that Cech is not the best with the ball at his feet, our system does seem to require that of a goalie.

I like Cech perhaps because he reminds me quite a bit of VDS.
I'm cool with LLoris as well, I just think the price we would pay for him would be pretty much the same as what Madrid would pay for DDG.

Bale? Carrick? Modric? Berbatov?
Carrick and Berbatov were before Levy went mad (Berba was actually around the time). Modric and Bale went to Spain, Bale went for a record fee which was way beyond his real value.

Lloris would cost us a bomb. Lets get Cech and then we can worry about the goalkeeping department once our midfield and defense had settled down

Cech should be the one we are speaking to and trying to sign if it has been made clear De Gea won't renew his contract. I don't think us agreeing a fee with Chelsea will be an issue, I think the main problem is him uprooting his family from London at this stage of his career.

I'd love us to sign him but I can see him signing for Arsenal over us at the moment. Both teams offer a similar chance of silverwear next season and unless we try to offer significantly more than them I can't see him picking us unfortunately. If we can't get him then poor Woodward will probably have to spend all summer dealing with bloody Daniel Levy to negotiate a deal for Lloris.

Cech is such an obvious choice for goalkeeper like Schneiderlin is for the midfield. I really hope we don't dick around with Levy bidding for Lloris. He will make sure to drag it down to the end of the deadline. Levy's the kind of guy that would chop his penis off to spite his missus.

Cech and Schneiderlin are deals that we should be able to complete without too much fuss and both would be amazing signings for us. I hope they are part of LVG's plan.

1. Leno
2. Cech
3. Valdes
I'd concur. Leno is pretty good with his feet from what I've seen and he would be the best option for us.

Lloris actually is better than Valdes IMO as well. Valdes is a question mark how he will recover from the injury not to mention being a bit older now

No Leno option so other. Cech would be great too, the others all a little bit meh, could just plax Valdes then.

My preference would be Leno with Valdes staying to rotate in cups/ CL and help him.

Out of the list i have no idea.

Leno wasn't given to me as one of the options, too late, soz :)

Went with Lloris. I would rather Cech but it seems he wants to stay in London so is probably Arsenal bound.

Bernd Leno. Very good potential and we likely won't have to worry about him buggering off with Neuer being at Bayern for the foreseeable future.

Not Cech, Between him and his stupid helmet and the possibility of signing Bale and his stupid heart gesture thing Id be having an irritation induced heart attack before the end of august!

Or Neuer. £50 million & £200k a week should seal the deal.

I don't get this theory that Cech wouldn't be motivated to play for us. A keeper is a very individualist position and I don't think motivation comes Into it with a keeper. A keeper will guard that net with his life, it's not like someone could be demotivated in the way perhaps an outfielder could and not put in the yards.

A keeper will be content with a 0-0 in pretty much any circumstance because he's done his job to the hilt, he can do no more whereas all outfield players in a 0-0 will have a feeling of being slightly unfulfilled.

If Cech comes here motivation won't enter his thinking.

Lloris is the best replacement, he is only 28 which is pretty young for a keeper.

I really hope we don't act like cheapskates and stick with Valdes when there is far better keepers our there.

I rate Valdes and can easily see him playing a few matches next season, but there's no way we aren't buying a goalkeeper if de Gea is leaving. LvG said he signed Valdes because he fits the keepers profile unlike Lindegaard, who will leave because of this. It would make sense to buy a talented goalkeepers who fits the profile since there are plenty around and we've currently got great experienced backup in Valdes. Cech doesn't fit the profile and Lloris will be expensive but a good shout. A keeper under van Gaal has to deal with a high line, constant backpasses and taking part in the positional play, he has to be a good 2 feeted passer aswell. Krul/Vorm are better shotstoppers than Cillessen/Vermeer but never were first choice because the latter are better with their feet, 3/3 times in recent history van Gaal chose his keepers he chose a sweeper keeper, the same will happen if de Gea leaves :(.

I voted other because Leno isn't on there.
