On the bright side, this was never the game they needed to win tbh. On the negative side, they won't beat Switzerland or Hungary playing like this.

Clark got the set up badly wrong I felt. McTominay in a 2 is never a good idea, and you can actually see him wander out of position and should have really been on Wirtz for that first goal.
He's only useful as almost that free player in a midfield, because I think he only impacts the game in the defensive and final thirds.
Thought they actually managed to get some footing when they switched it up with McGinn making it a 3 and closed off the middle. Should have started like that because Germany don't have a whole of pace so you can give up the width.

In this case I'll defend Mctominay. Watch the defenders when they have the ball, he does show, it just never gets to him. There were plenty of times Tierney could've played it to him first half but he chose to play it long.

Scotland could be getting the least comfortable Brazilian treatment option in this one.
Too early to judge. Scotland was never going to be the measure. I want to see how Germany deals with real opposition and with adversity. This is where they have struggled in recent times.

Usually emotion gets to us and it causes us to shite ourselves but this is just an embarrassing, shite and weak performance from every player on the pitch tonight. We have made it easy as feck for Germany to look world class.

Yeah Germany have put in arguably the best international football performance I've seen since at a tournament in years. Nagelsmann is a top level manager even for club football, let alone for international football. And on paper their side is so we'll balanced and is coming into this in top form and they are at home.
They really should be overwhelming favourites for the tournament because sides like England and France just aren't capable of playing the half that Germany just did IMO.
On one of the goals he literally stops and stands behind the player that scores and just watches him.

Germany looks good... but Scotland usually isnt this bad. Right? We (the Netherlands) played them in March and won 4-0 but i cant remember them being this bad.
It's 3-0 including two penalty reviews and a sending of, and STILL somehow there were several phases in that match where it dragged notably
