Day 1 | Germany vs Scotland

One of the worst halves of football you'll see at this level from Scotland. Just awful.

Have to admire the Scotland player feigning injury in that challenge as well. That’s an indication of guilt more than anything else.

Just stick Scott up front. We go again next game Scotland.

I put Gundogan because i thought he was the penalty taker.... he seemed to take the ball at the first penalty shout?

Or did he skip it because he was hurt from the foul?

Well now its really just damage limitations. Jeez that really was a dreadful tackle though.

Scotland just got to scrub this one off and attempt to beat Hungary and Swiss now.

Need to be starting Gilmour and Shankland next game.

They need to make sure they don't collapse completely. Losing by 5 or 6 here will be their end.

2 feet off the ground, its an easy decision. Catching him above the ankle is the icing on the cake.

This might be the most one-sided game I've seen for a very long time. Hope the Scots can at least keep the goal difference down and give themselves a chance of going through. They won the national anthem sing-off pretty comprehensively, so that should count for GD IMO.

I thought you weren't allowed stop during a run up to a penalty? Havertz came to a complete stop there.

Im pretty sure you just cant interrupt your motion when kicking the ball but you can stutter the run up. Happy to be corrected though.

Definitely penalty, shouldn’t have counted though as Havertz literally stopped there.

Germany have been very good, better than I thought they were. But Scotland have been shocking, that red card summed up their half.
