Day 1 | Germany vs Scotland

so in Euros there's no rule about double punishment and you can get red + peno? wow

I imagine you don't get sent off if it's last man. That was for serious foul play e.g. could've broken Gundogan's leg.

That's one of the easiest reds your going to see. Studs up onto the leg. Stonewall red

Porteous has always been a chav thug so no surprise there. Abysmal start from Scotland though, even considering the quality of the opposition.

Ralston looks like a Sunday league player, constant ball watching.

Spot on, deserved red for a shocking challenge. McCoist keeps saying "he needed to make a challenge", he needed to make a block and not a shite tackle like that.

Typical poor centre back behaviour. Been passive, stuck on his heels all game camping in the penalty box and not stepping out, then decides to go the other way super gung ho into a reckless challenge.

Isn't this the bloke that took the last month of the season off specifically for the Euros?

Yikes. This has got to be one of the most one-sided Euros matches in history. Even before the penalty and red. Scotland have barely had any meaningful possession, let alone a shot on goal.

Think the defender’s intentions were to go for a block he just made a dogs dinner out of it

He didn't have to make the challenge, I don't agree with the commentators, all he had to do was block any shot. His movement to lunge in was a terrible decision.

Correct decision. Imagine if that takes a player like Gundogan out of the tournament. What a butcher.

Scotland just got to scrub this one off and attempt to beat Hungary and Swiss now.

Need to be starting Gilmour and Shankland next game.
