David De Gea

One may be forthcoming at some point but reliably told no bid from Real for De Gea #mufc

Fecking Sky sources.....

They used to be legit as feck but lately since the rise of Twitter rumours they're just given up and report any shite.

Probably the most reliable source when it comes to De Gea.

Ducker is way more reliable than 'Sky sources' so thread title can be reverted back.

 You had me till CL rival.

Seriously though, 60m pounds is a monumental fee for a goalkeeper.
15m more than Ederson. We cannot get even Oblak (who isn't as good as De Gea) for that money. Probably Donnaruma if Milan are going to sell.

So, I guess that there is nowhere near enough money (even if we assume that De Gea wants to leave) for us to consider. 90m pounds and a transfer request would likely do it though.

Delighted with the news if true. Means if we sell we are going to get a massive fee, 80 odd million, and if we don't we keep him. I'd honestly be really disappointed if we only got 50 million considering the current state of the market. Inter want £60 million for Perisic :lol: And don't agree with the 'it's a great fee for a goalkeeper' rhetoric. How much would Bayern demand for Neuer? De Gea is in that league and younger to boot.

We don't need the money, so why sell at any cost? If the player doesn't want to leave then don't sell him. If he does then ask for £100m

You could offer £600m, if he doesn't put in a transfer request he's not going anywhere.
Hmm, we can trigger Messi's release clause and offer 100m pounds per year for 3.5 seasons with that money. We might consider it. :p

I can't see a swap.A transfer of a top player is complicate so imagine mixing 2.Anyway in my opinion they don't have the same market value(even injured).
The result of the C.L final can change everything

Yeah I agree with you on everything. Including the part about Bales market value. Think De Gea is far more valuable. :p

He makes a very good point too.

If they do make a bid though, its likely he's off as they won't be bidding for a player they aren't certain will want to push for the move.

Right so that was all bollocks. Can't even trust Sky anymore for feck sake.

Mate Sky are fecking pitiful these days. Its independent foreign journalists mostly now that break all the big stories.

Only way De Gea goes this transfer window is if he asks to leave / hand in a transfer request. And 60 mill is a decent amount of money, but considering City are willing to pay around 35mill for that Ederson, who hasn't proved in the premier league etc, arguably De Gea's price is quite low.

I doubt that bid is official because of the upcoming final, but they most likely will make a bid this window.

They took rumors from other sources and report them as if it's their sources. They have gone really in a terrible way.

If Real knows he wants to leave they won't even pay £60m.

'Sky Sources' are shit these days. Can't even remember the last time they broke news on a major transfer story that turned out to be true.

Lukaku also wants to leave yet Everton want £100 million.

He has I think 2 years left on his contract so if Madrid want him they will have to pay a huge fee. £40 million does not buy you a world class player in today's market.

The only way we'd sell him cheap is if we had an agreement when he signed the contract a couple of years back.

Aye, I wouldn't take any rumour/news as true until I saw it on the yellow news ticket along the bottom of Sky Sports News, it was the only legit news source for me a few years ago.

How times change.

Dangerous game, when we don't need the money had have him in a decent contract. Also, odd this comes out after reports earlier today and yesterday that he's happy here and won't ask to leave.

Granted, if he does want to leave I say sell and sell early so we can get an adequate replacement and a full pre season with a first choice keeper.

Spain no1 's value will even inflate more after the world cup, for marketing reasons, keeping him this year and triggering 1 year extension until we get our man seems the right ploy.

An interesting angle in this all is Zidane. Zizzou plays to his teams strengths and even if you're a big name (i.e. Bale), if the team is better without you, you sit and at the very least accept your fate.

The feeling in their dressing room with Navas is great and if Perez goes on his annual shopping spree that doesn't match with Zizzou, it's not going to sit well with the club nor their supporters who have come to appreciate and love Navas.

If DDG does decide to leave via transfer request, then so be it. He has deserved that right and all the best. But if he has told Jose and the club, I'll play for your as long as you want me then amazing. If you do decide to sell him, it's to Real Madrid only, etc.
