David De Gea

I think he will eventually leave in the next few years. He will want to get married and start a family with his girl at some point, and she hates Manchester so....

When that time comes, we shouldn't stand in his way.

As with Lukaku

All the ones who got it wrong and were told, as far back in June, are still trying to convince the world they were right all along.

Both clubs said he is not leaving and he is not kicking up a fuss at being told he is not for sale and is happy to stay.

I don't think De Gea was told he's not for sale, quite the opposite in fact. He was told he could leave if he wants to.

They wanted £80m for their back up striker but want a top 3 goal keeper for £50m? The bastards have no intention of paying a fair fee for him, that much is now clear. I hope Ed faxes them dick pics in reply to their insulting joke of an offer.

I don't know what is funnier.

Woodward taking a pic of his penis.
Or him sending the pic, by FAX!
I mean, who the hell uses a fax machine, outside of Real Madrid and MUFC?
Do lower league teams still use carrier pigeons?

Who said DDG was told he was not for sale. Clubs tell other clubs not their own players. And he was not told he can leave, more they were prepared if he wanted to go.

First statement united said on DDG indicated that he is happy at United and will not be sold. You can take that up which ever way you like. But i read DDG is not for sale and is not asking to leave. Us not holding on to players who want to go is not the same as telling him he can go. Telling a player he can go is paramount to asking him to leave ffs. Imagine telling one of your best players you dont care if he stays or goes.

There is no way he was told "you can leave if you want", but i do accept he knew United would not stand in his way should he choose to see whats on offer from another club.

But does this mean DDG wanted to leave so they opened?

Doesn't mean he was desperately trying to get out, but of course he'd be interested in a move to Real. That much has been obvious for the past few years. It's just that now he has apparently been turned off by Real's indifference. Clearly there is one club that truly values him, and he's currently playing for them.

Yea it definitely reads that way from all articles.
Looks like he wanted to leave again this summer, Mou said okay to it and Madrid backed off, leaving De Gea feeling dicked by Madrid again.

I think Zidanes son is a GK in Real's youth? hopefully him and Navas between them means Zidane never wants to come back in for DDG.

Would be gutting if we lose him before the Super Cup and he saves all those penalties for Real Madrid.

Seems like it tbh and fair enough by Jose imo. No need to keep him even though it would hurt us to lose him obviously. He will probably leave next season again but only if Real plays a crazy amount of money which I am not sure they will

Again, as usual and as expected, Simon Stone and other journalists intentionally leave out the part of Jose's quote where he says that De Gea has bad feelings towards Madrid because of everything that has happened and therefore it's tough for him to go there.

It's genuinely bizarre, I've never seen such strong insistence on leaving out a positive part of a quote in so many articles about this today. Watch the press conference, the guy literally says it in the same fecking sentence as all the other shite that everyone's talking about, like all the "we opened and they closed" stuff.

Why is Woodward being so gracious and showering Pérez with gifts?! Real have done nothing but insult us year after year with their De Gea pursuit.

I bet the snakes have already shaken hands on De Gea leaving next summer.
