David De Gea

No one that's close. Would be mental to sell a keeper that's already the best keeper (arguably) in the world at 26. Money doesn't matter one bit for the club so if he's sold it's a proper bad sign that the club isn't moving forward imo.

I couldn't agree more.

Manchester City just paid £45 million for Ederson a relatively unknown keeper, De Gea is worth double at least.

Don't like it? Don't buy our player.
Exactly, DDG is one of the best in the world and still young so City just set the price for him to at least 80 million.

Surely worth a substantial multiplier of what City have just paid or about to pay for an unproven GK from the Portuguese league

We're talking about one of the three best in the world, playing for his country, moving from a team who do not have a financial need to sell, a player who has years on his contract so no urgency to sell, selling to a CL rival, albeit one that hasn't won the treble (@Party Boy)

Surely you can see how £60m is cheap, or at least how it would take a lot more. If you want him, you'll have to pay big, and in today's market that's not going to be big enough
 You had me till CL rival.

Seriously though, 60m pounds is a monumental fee for a goalkeeper.

Cash won't tempt us. Isco, Varane and James and we'll consider.

Even I was wondering if that was a step to far.

It is. But I think transfer market has traditionally undervalued the position.

This. City have done us a solid on this one. If that's the kind of money we'd need to dish out to replace De Gea, why shouldn't we be asking more for arguably the best keeper in the world.

what a waste of money though. £80m! U could buy a keeper for £8m and if they play for real or Barca in that league they would do a job. Look how poor bravo has turned out to be. I can't believe they are willing to spend £60m on a keeper when u look at how many goals they concede or how many games they lose.

£60m isn't a lot considering we'd have to pay £50m to replace him especially now City have spent £44m for a goalkeeper.

They're like an art collector, they must have the best.

If Dave wants out let's bleed Madrid. It will be the same story next year. It's inevitable, we are in good position now and can get a good replacement. We are on the up and if Dave doesn't want to be here, then it's best for all to move on. Big Dave has been quality but I want people who want to be at United.

You think? I'm betting that if we'd offer anywhere close to 100m Ed would drive him to Madrid himself.
Why? United have all the money they need to do their business, and even with an extra £100m they wouldn't find a replacement even close to De Gea's level.

Unless he asks to leave, there is no way we're letting him go for any price.

When Inter are asking 55m for Perisic and Everton 100m for Lukaku you better be ready to pay up mother feckers.

Why? So we can buy an inferior player for a key position and increase our bank balance a little? What's the point?

Keeping DDG is worth considerably more that a slight bump in our cash reserves.

I really want us to sell DDG and end all this speculations. If DDG himself was not receptive of RM's advances, they wouldnt keep on trying to bait him.

If he wants to stay, he should say so publicly and end all the speculation, and if he wants to leave we should slap a clear price tag on him and be done with it.

If he's that good, perhaps you shouldn't be offering £60 million for his replacement.

Navas is good. But I wouldn't want him replacing DDG in the premier league. Don't think he controls his box well like Dave, but probably is on par as a shot stopper.

I want Bale in return. Despite his injuries i still think he's sensational.
I can't see a swap.A transfer of a top player is complicate so imagine mixing 2.Anyway in my opinion they don't have the same market value(even injured).
The result of the C.L final can change everything

It's down to Dave. If he asks to leave after a chat with Jose, Jose prob won't stand in his way - he has done that a few times over the years at various clubs. But at least it will be a good deal on paper for us, Jose will settle for nothing less.

Boils down to Dave and his happiness here. Jose here as gaffer does help a hell of a lot though.

If he's so fantastic, why are they trying to replace him?

Again?
They're like that one creepy guy in a club stalking a women all night that wont just take no for an answer, can't take rejection and in the face of it deny they were even interested (Pogba).
