David De Gea

He'd sign Hart, just out of spite in relation to Pep.. motivating Hart to prove him wrong. Only good thing from Hart's perspective is that Jose don't give two shits about distribution from the back.. so his lack of skills on the ball would not come into question.
He's also bullshit at keeping the ball out of the net.

I think Jose will like Hart. He's certainly doesn't need motivating. The fecking psycho.

The important thing is Dave doesn't sound desperate to leave and will only leave if the club gets ridiculous money.
The ball is now firmly in Madrid's court. If they pay, he will go.
The thing that gives me hope is I just can't see Real Madrid spending £70m on a keeper. I don't care how good a keeper is, you can't justify that.

The idea of losing De Gea was bad enough.

The idea of losing him when he wasn't even pushing for a move is sickening.

We don't need the money nor do we wish to lose him and De Gea himself is not overly fussed about leaving. So why is this even a story?

That was the same scenario 2 years ago, Madrid want him and ultimately he would like to go all he won't do though is go as far as push for the transfer. Only slight change is that we're possibly in a better position in terms of his contract this time around (though I'm not sure that's even true is it?)

I'm really starting to become concerned with these Joe Hart links. REALLY concerned.

Castles is often quite accurate nowadays, isn't he? I'd be 'ucking devastated if this happened. Replacing a top 3 worldwide GK with a buffoon who also happens to be a hateable, arrogant idiot.

Hes trolling us with Hart, De Gea must be staying this summer

I reckon Jose would sign Joe just to prove a point that he could make him a lot better, like he tried when he signed Falcao on loan.

One thing is certain. With Mourinho at the helm if DDG goes it will be for mega money and not until we have a suitable replacement.

United seem pretty comfortable with the situation and so they should be. The ball is firmly in their court and they already showed Madrid their financial power by wiping the floor with them over the Pogba deal.

If Dave wants to go take them for big money and bring in Keylor Navas.

If the reports coming out of the camp that Dafid is happy to remain a United player are to be believed, then I think the situation is very different this time around. Especially since, as you pointed out, we have him tied down to a highly lucrative contract.

Real will have to work for his signature this time, rather than the usual "we say jump you say how high" way they do business with the rest of the footballing world.

Course you can. Buffon cost £32m. In 2001 (Zidane cost £46m that year). He has proved to be a bargain. Goalkeepers move clubs less. £70m for a decade of service would be a bargain for Real.

With a dramatically enhanced and ever improving defence, losing DDG is not as catastrophic as it was a few years back.

And Joe Hart would be a suitable and proven replacement: he is technically proficient, has Premier League experience and can cope with pressure. It would also wind up City fans too.

I hope DDG stays until we win our first post SAF title, but I'll understand if he leaves and wish him well. Hart would be a great replacement.

I wouldn't mind losing De Gea as much as I'd hate for his replacement to be Joe fecking Hart.

Jose might as well bring in John Terry and make him captain, sign up Gerrard to coach our U18s and sell Ander Herrera to Liverpool.

Er, no! I'd fecking stab my eyes out if I saw Herrera in a Liverpool shirt.

Hart is really not good, can't be any truth to that. You can't replace one of the best keepers in the league with Hart, madness.

He has a long contract, World Cup 2018 is coming up, DDG has to play well or risk losing his starting spot in the world cup, we don't have to sell our best player even if he wants to go because he still needs to perform so he won't have any time to sulk or underperform. Adding to this, DDG is highly professional and if we aren't any closer to winning anytbing after the 2018 season we should let him go, if we are winning I'm sure he will want to stay.

As mentioned before Im not fussed anymore. We are in a far better position that the past 2 summers with this saga

1. He is on a lengthy contract with no buy out. Which means minimum of 60m
2. Our defence looks pretty organized and solid this season, which I put down to the coaching of Jose and his staff
3. I really like Romero (not saying he would be the replacement) but he is dependable

It's a weirdly persistent rumour for my liking too.

Replacing David De Gea with Joe Hart is like dumping your big-time supermodel ex-girlfriend for a pregnant and fat former prostitute and drug-addict who got dumped by your neighbour. Okay a little ridiculous but you get the idea. I hope all these rumours of Joe Hart are complete bs, this is the most ridiculous thing I've heard.
