Real Madrid have reportedly agreed to terminate the contract of Keylor Navas, clearing the way for the LaLiga giants to go all out for Manchester United's David de Gea.
Madrid have been heavily linked with De Gea over the years and it has been suggested they could firm up their long-standing interest with a big-money offer this summer.
And, according to Spanish newspaper Don Balon, Madrid have now come to an agreement to let current first choice Navas leave the Bernabeu at the end of the season.
Madrid have reportedly agreed to pay up the final three years on his contract just to get him off the books with a move for De Gea now expected.
The 26-year-old has established himself as one of the best keepers in world
football since his arrival at United from
Atletico Madrid in 2011.
But his time in the
Premier League could be coming to an end with a return to his home city, where his long-term girlfriend still spends a lot of her time.
