David De Gea

Replacing David De Gea with Joe Hart is like dumping your big-time supermodel ex-girlfriend for a pregnant and fat former prostitute and drug-addict who got dumped by your neighbour. Okay a little ridiculous but you get the idea. I hope all these rumours of Joe Hart are complete bs, this is the most ridiculous thing I've heard.

feck me mate, you must live in a terrible area.

Oblak, we'd be waiting a few years for Donnaruma to be the finished article.

Donnaruma is the next Buffon...it is crazy not to think about buying this lad...Language and Culture will be his big obstacle here.

But in technical area...playing with the crooks defenders in Milan in the age of High School teen for a long season...you can judge yourself...
Oblak is a good keeper, but keeper with low penalty saved sometimes will be a barrier...
If Donnaruma available for 40 mio, just buy him...we will have 20 years of great keeper in him...

You have a way with words!

I wasn't too bothered about signing sausage boy but now I hope we do just so I can laugh at prtk911, who will need to be put on suicide watch when he sees his idol in white.
And this is why people hate Madrid fans.

Honestly it's all just a load of guesswork by the press. Why would Oblak want to join us? Why would Atletico sell, especially as we are likely getting their star player already?
Maybe because practically every season they let one or two of their best players go for big money, then carry on regardless. It doesn't seem to effect them too badly. They might even decide to sell Oblak, Giminez and Griezeman to us for an astronomical fee, then rebuild their squad with that money.

We are a bigger club and pay significantly higher wages, so generally, most players would consider moving here given the right circumstances.

It's funny because that actually happens to me. I broke up with a Ukraine model for this Uzbek lady and the most infuriating thing part is this b**** dumped me the second time for the same man after I took care of her during her pregnancy till she gave birth, and paid for child support and she took my money and fly to her ex's country to bring her baby to meet him and live with him.

Please tell me that isn't true.

Unfortunately, it's true. I had PTSD and depression because of my first break-up and I had to seek professional help. The second time it happened was just 2 months ago and she ghosted on me but at least I've learnt to cope with the pain now, but it still fecking hurts. I've thought of posting my story on this board a few times but was worried about getting banned as its the most unbelievably wretched and pathetic story ever. I posted this on a relationship forum two years ago and the comments I got were extremely harsh.

If you think it will help you, then share your story. People on here won't be harsh towards you. This is a great community for supporting people. Sounds like you've had a really rough time of it. Hope it all gets better for you, man.

Thanks mate, I appreciate your kind words. :)
Yeah RedCafe is a great community and it's actually this forum which took my mind off this. I'll probably get around to this in the General forum when I feel comfortable about this.

If we can get £60-£70m for DDG, we should sell him. He is a good keeper, but there are other good ones too. This year he has not been as great as prior years, maybe because we haven't needed him as much.

You're right, I wouldn't want him to leave though.

I just cant see real spending more than 35 million on a goalkeeper, its the opposite of their ethos. All their big signings are forwards. im sure they want him but im not at all convinced they want to pay anywhere near our valuation. If theres a release clause itll happen. If not it probably wont.

Ball bag says Real are winning the race to sign De Gea on Skysports Q&A..

'REAL WINNING DE GEA RACE'

“I wanted to clarify a point I made earlier. I’m convinced Real Madrid are winning the race for David de Gea. It surprises me that Manchester United, who have aspirations of being the biggest club in the world, would let him go. But it seems to be reaching a point where everyone is in agreement that it is best if they go their separate ways."

The cnut doesn't pass an opportunity to have a dig at us, does he?

If he really wants to go feck him let him go but only for a decent fee 70 million. If reports are to be believed Madrid will be signing

Mbappe: 100 million
Vinicius Junior: 40 million
De gea: 70 million

Plus you would imagine they will sign a few squad players. Will Madrid pay over 200 million plus on transfers?

Which We already are, he must know that.

Yes they will.

They bought Kaka, Alonso and Ronaldo and that was in 2009!

If De Gea thinks that by joining Madrid he will be playing in the Champions League final every season I think he could be in for a surprise. This might be a crazy thing to say about a team that will probably win back to back Champions Leagues but I think they are slowly on the way down, Ronaldo is 33 his next birthday, Modric and Ramos 32 and Marcelo will be 30 his next birthday too. They are their 4 most important and irreplaceable players and I can see them struggling when those 4 start to decline. I can see De Gea joining them in the summer and never playing in a European final, not to say he would or not if he stays here, just a thought.

If he is so desperate to leave, let him go for decent fee (60m+). It will be a steal because he is irreplaceable , but I hope we don't get double-crossed with James Rodriguez coming the other way.
We will seriously become a laughing stock if that happens.

If his personal reasons are still the main ones then we should let him go. He's given us excellent service for a relatively long time, buckled down after what must have been a hugely disappointing fax mix up and just gotten on with it. I hope he'll always be a fan favourite, but this is life, he needs to do what is best for him and his family.

Has Mourinho ever not had great keepers? Seems to either be lucky or have an eye...

He is under contract, let him sit on the bench. 100 million or the bench it is

Not convinced by the source, but if anyone wants a good moan, then he's some material:

Real Madrid have reportedly agreed to terminate the contract of Keylor Navas, clearing the way for the LaLiga giants to go all out for Manchester United's David de Gea.

Madrid have been heavily linked with De Gea over the years and it has been suggested they could firm up their long-standing interest with a big-money offer this summer.

And, according to Spanish newspaper Don Balon, Madrid have now come to an agreement to let current first choice Navas leave the Bernabeu at the end of the season.

Madrid have reportedly agreed to pay up the final three years on his contract just to get him off the books with a move for De Gea now expected.

The 26-year-old has established himself as one of the best keepers in world football since his arrival at United from Atletico Madrid in 2011.

But his time in the Premier League could be coming to an end with a return to his home city, where his long-term girlfriend still spends a lot of her time.

If they agree to pay £60m we should sell.

Mourinho's strength is his defensive organisation - the defence is so well-tuned that our keeper rarely has to be brilliant to keep us in a game. We wouldn't be able to get a keeper as good as DDG but even a slight downgrade wouldn't hurt us too much IMO.

So they're terminating the contract of a commodity they could get at least £10m-15m for and I assume they'd have to honour the financial terms and buy him out?

I'd guess that the only way that was true is if he had a clause in his contract that stated that if they replace him with De Gea he gets a settlement and gets to pick his next club as a free agent.

Like I said, I don't really trust the source.

De Gea is on 200k per week. Are RM confident of matching that wage? I really doubt it.

It still surprises me how many people in the CAF act as if other clubs didn't have money to match wages. Madrid are loaded and led the Forbes wealth ranking for football clubs for like 4 years in a row.

If we manage to retain de Gea, wages won't play a role. It will all be about how Mourinho and Woodie feel about the situation.
