A Bale that can remain fit, no doubt. An attacker of his quality is worth more than a GK. He's been perennially injures of late though which makes it very risky.Would anyone accept Bale for DDG?

Never thought that he is as good as Caf and British media claim, though would have been in favor of this some time ago. Now he is always injured, and is getting older. He has always been a bit of a speed merchant so the age will affect him in the future.Would anyone accept Bale for DDG?
I wouldn't touch Bale with someone else's barge pole. Too risky.
Why's that? Injury?

That's a big if and the last three years have proven it's not worth the risk.It pains me to say it but yes, at the drop of a hat.
Bale would add another dimension to our forward play, actually make use of our set-pieces and guarantee 15-20 goals a season. Provided he can stay fit of course.

Yes agree that´s why I asked about Bale.James for DDG is an absolute rip off.
I think he's off. But I don't think we need to replace him. Romero has more than earnt hia chance at the #1 slot and Pereira is highly rated by Jose. Best use the money on the attack and review the situation next Summer.
He is very solid and with us needing many good players next summer maybe selling DDG off wouldn´t be all that bad. But then again if possible I would love for us to keep him here as long as possible.I will believe he is off when it is official. I agree with your point regarding romero, i would have no qualms about him being our number one next season.
I would go as far as saying he is the third best keeper in our league right now.
I think he will take the gamble and go with Romero whilst try and improve our attack/creativity.I think he's off. But I don't think we need to replace him. It still surprises me how many people in the CAF act as if other clubs didn't have money to match wages. Madrid are loaded and led the Forbes wealth ranking for football clubs for like 4 years in a row.
If we manage to retain de Gea, wages won't play a role. It will all be about how Mourinho and Woodie feel about the situation.
Do your own research.Ok, can you show some stats? How much have RM traditionally paid their GKs? Also, what's their current wage bill and how much their top performers are on?
There is no way RM can afford to pay a GK that kind of money, especially with their current crop of high earners. The only logical solution is for DDG to take a pay cut.

Iker Casillas (you might remember him) was one of the highest earners on his team at 165.000 a week. That was 3 seasons ago.
This is a club that just spent 40 million euros on some Brazilian teenager that didn't play first division football until last week. Their president is a proper cnut of the worst calibre, but he knows how to make and milk money. The idea that they cannot match a salary for Spains nr.1 goalkeeper is either misinformed or wishful thinking.
Zidane: "We have three very good goalkeepers and we are happy with the three. Next season, I don’t know what will happen.”
