Should he have saved the Saka goal? Not a mistake but I expect him to.
His save percentage is shite. For all the talk of Alisson and Ederson being so much better, in the PL this season they both have just one assist despite apparently being amazing at this, De Gea beats Alisson on high claims, has a much better save percentage than Ederson and a very similar one to Alisson (but we all know no one else is making some of the saves De Gea does), and Ederson and DDG are tied on 1 error leading to a goal.
Funnily enough, I assume Ederson’s was from his short pass while the team was under pressure.
I thought so at first but it's just incredibly well-placed. Don't think he can be blamed.Should he have saved the Saka goal? Not a mistake but I expect him to.
He had more than enough time and space to catch it, and his two handed punch went maybe 15 feet. It made no sense when the pressure was on his team.My usual pop into this thread to say that he’s shite and is only getting a new contract because we can’t afford to buy a keeper on top of everything else.
That punch when he could have caught the ball on his line had me frothing at the mouth.
This.I thought so at first but it's just incredibly well-placed. Don't think he can be blamed.
Baffling decision. He had more than enough time and space to catch it, and his two handed punch went maybe 15 feet. It made no sense when the pressure was on his team.
Everytime the ball went to him, I shit myself. His distribution remains suspect....
That's not really what he did most of the time, though. Most of the time we tried to play out, and most of the time we lost the ball doing that. If he had launched it long every time we would have had a better chance today.Suspect? His distribution today was launch it up to the Arsenal defenders so they can launch another attack.
Should he have saved the Saka goal? Not a mistake but I expect him to.
Quite the opposite and the first goal came from shit ball to AWB....Suspect? His distribution today was launch it up to the Arsenal defenders so they can launch another attack.

I lost it with him at that point. I think his distribution has improved hugely and think he gets a bit of unfair stick but Arsenal were all over us building momentum and he had an easy chance to take some of that pressure off and he punched it. Cowardly. There was a moment where he could've made a straight forward catch but hit it away like a volleyball. It was very strange.
That punch under no pressure whilst they were having wave after wave of attack was mad
It was standard ddg anyway, his kicking under pressure is troublesome, and he can't control the box. And lack of communication too.
Good shot stopper
Yeah that really pissed me off. There was a moment where he could've made a straight forward catch but hit it away like a volleyball. It was very strange.
None of the goals were on him or saveable. Ramsdale isn't saving those goals.Swap for Ramsdale and we win that game.
Not about saves. Distribution and sweeping is on another level.None of the goals were on him or saveable. Ramsdale isn't saving those goals.
Few jittery moments but let's be honest, the team were wank today and the fact the only complaints are about a punch shows he didn't really do anything wrong.
That wouldn't have won the game. Not about saves. Distribution and sweeping is on another level.
Saka's goal?!Hoofed a ball unnecessarily straight out the sideline, played AWB into trouble before the equalizer, could/should have done better on Sakas goal, and completely unnecessarily punched a ball he should collect 10/10 times.
A good save on a close range shot (a shot a good GK should save tbf).
Should be a priority to strengthen the GK-position in the summer window, at least get proper competition.
It literally played us into trouble for the first goal at least. That wouldn't have won the game.
Same.I think today is a perfect example of what DDG is all about. Shit passing, doesn't dominate his area but makes some absolutely immense saves...I honestly go from "Sell him" to "How will we replace him" every match...
They also really fecks me off. Be better just launching it out for a throw in and relieve some pressure.Don't understand why when he's booting it away under pressure it's always down the middle and floated which hardly gets to the half way line.
He did the same against palace. He has to hit the sides where opposition players need to move into...
