The disparager
Golden glove winner. I would say, with much confidence, it's the first time there's been such a clamour to get rid of a golden glove winner. Ridiculous fans
You must surely be joking?

Admirable support. Misplaced, but admirable.Golden glove winner. I would say, with much confidence, it's the first time there's been such a clamour to get rid of a golden glove winner. Ridiculous fans
Very damning for someone who makes saves that other keepers can'tDe Gea's clean sheet stats
1-0 win @ Southampton 5 saves
1-0 win @Leicester 2 saves
0-0 vs Newcastle 2 saves
2-0 win vs Tottenham 2 saves
1-0 win vs West Ham 5 saves
3-0 win vs Forrest 3 saves
1-0 win @ Wolves 3 saves
3-0 win vs Bournemouth 4 saves
2-0 win @ Leeds 6 saves
3-0 vs Leicester 3 saves
0-0 vs Southampton 4 saves
1-0 win vs Brentford 1 save
2-0 win vs Everton 1 save
2-0 win @ Forrest 0 saves
1-0 win vs Villa 1 save
2-0 win vs Wolves 0 saves
total of 42 saves in 13 games, or 3 saves per game. Most of which were saves any keeper would be expected to make. This award is because of our defense, not because of our keeper. But good on him for "winning" the golden glove this year. Hopefully it's a nice "good-bye" gift that will make his value go up a little when we hopefully sell him
Some other interesting stats
4-0 loss to Brentford on only 7 shots
6-3 loss to City on only 10 shots
7-0 loss to Liverpool on only 8 shots
3-2 loss to Arsenal on only 5 shots
3-1 loss to Villa on only 4 shots
So in these matches where we had our most goals against of the year, on only 34 shots De Gea saved 11 shots and allowed 23 goals
So has he got the golden glove now?
Yep.
I'm not conflicted. Delighted with the three points. I'm not remotely interested in golden gloves.Bet the haters must be conflicted? Or is this the only stat that doesn't really mean anything?

ThisNah, not conflicted. Its still an easy decision for me to let him go on a free. He made some good saves and the one near the end was vital. However, if we want to play further up the pitch than he isn't the goalkeeper for United.
Yeah, for real. The xG percentile of the pythagorean theorem clearly states that when we get battered it's on Dave and if it's a clean sheet, it's thanks to our defenders.
Didn't have much to do but made two very good saves and distributed well.
Well said. Well done on DDG and a good game today. But he isn’t at the standard that we need to get to the next level.Nah, not conflicted. Its still an easy decision for me to let him go on a free. He didn't, he barely got on the ball and gave up possession whenever he had to make a difficult pass.
We need to improve on more than ddg if we want to play further up the pitch.Nah, not conflicted. Its still an easy decision for me to let him go on a free. I am sure a new GK able to play further up the pitch will make our two 80m wingers better and our striker options not fall on their arse.Nah, not conflicted.
