I said "probably". So in other words depends how you react. I respect yours while you never respect mine. The fact I already told you we have two different opinions which we never agree each other, so we leave it like that and in that moment I showed my respect on your opinion. But you in the other hand replied it with a disrespectful thing by laugh at it without anything funny.

You may suggest I do not respect your opinion, that's your liberty, but I do respect this forum and the posters on here therefore upon their request I will stop discussing this with you in this thread.

If I don't stop you will only take short posts and then make them longer, it must be horrific viewing for a mobile phone!

If you would like me to reply then tell me, I will do so in private message but no longer in this thread. I would have replied anyway to your message via PM but you keep saying it's wasting your time but then you keep replying to me, I'm getting mixed signals, not quite sure what you actually want.

Your words suggest one thing and your actions another so please be consistent, when you do what you say then life will be good my friend.

Welbeck will be alright when he gets 10 chances and scores 2 against some fodder at the Emirates.

But, in high pressured matches, with something on the line, I wouldn't trust him up front. Not after Bayern last year.

When there is nothing funny and you laugh at someone opinion, that means you disrespect their opinion.

Notice how your post could be done in short but instead you are making it longer? But instead you are talking the same thing in 3 paragraphs. I tried to make it short in our most recently posts but instead you are replying it longer. Remember that you said you only replying what I posted? I posted a link of a proof a fact of Welbeck number goals and games but you started to go further by talking about RVP even mentioned Adebayor and Henry name. (WTF?)

"If I would like"? The real question is when are you going to end it? Because I end it already a few days ago. You are the one who wanted another round and further topic. I could wasting my time with you all day if you want even in both private or public message.

(You compared Welbeck to RVP at the same age, I said it was unfair due to Adebayor + Henry playing so much, I asked you to go more in-depth with how many minutes rvp played, when he came on and whether he played consistently, variables you did not control for. Simple, no? Also Welbeck's goals + assists to game ratio is shocking in the link you provided therefore perhaps Louis van Gaal was right.)

It seems this is the end of the discussion between you and I. Although not crystal clear it appears the last paragraph suggests no desire to continue this discussion in private.

As for you JSMHE, show respect to other posters on here and do not reply to this message. The discussion ended once before or so I thought but then you started it again, if you wish to reply this time then do so in PM.

Aston Villa vs Arsenal

As for everybody else, once more I apologise for what happened to this thread, hopefully we can get a reasonable discussion going.

If anybody can get Welbeck firing it's Arsene Wenger so who knows what could happen. It will be exciting to find out because he could become Torres or he could become Henry.

Welbeck vs Aston Villa on Saturday, how do you think he will do?

It seems he'll be up against a well organised, defensively solid side. That's going to be a difficult game for Arsenal in general, Welbeck might only get a few chances but he needs to take 1 at least, I'd like to see him score as the more time he goes without a goal the more pressure that mounts.

Oh no not again. You said end it but from your last post I saw you posted:
"(You compared Welbeck to RVP at the same age, I said it was unfair due to Adebayor + Henry playing so much, I asked you to go more in-depth with how many minutes rvp played, when he came on and whether he played consistently, variables you did not control for. It seems you are still unhappy with my last post. I never compare him to RVP at 23 anymore after I said that I took it from someone else. So stop with the unnecessary reply about that RVP. Sigh -.-

I've never encountered so much difficulty ending a conversation with a poster on these forums. People kept telling me 'just end the discussion' but it turns out sometimes that is not possible.

I will try to ignore him although he seems pretty insistent on replying and even then only in this thread! And it's a shame because this thread really does have potential. I'm really excited as to what it will become, imagine if Welbeck does an Henry scoring (premier league) 174 goals in 254 games or a Torres scoring 20 goals in 110 games.

Settle it properly. PM eachothers numbers and meet for a fist fight.

I was thinking more a cock fight, but fisting would work well.

Now back to the subject at hand, Danny will do well at Arsenal I think. He definately will get more chances and therefore score more than he would have had he stayed at United where he was going to be 4th choice at best, assuming that signing Falcao was not dependent on letting Danny go in the first place.

He will get chances till Giroud is back and Wenger will get a shiny new toy in the summer and the same sequence of events will play out at Arsenal.

Still a positive that he is creating or making himself available for the chance. Apart from the one chance Giroud wouldn't have got into those positions, the other chance I think Subotic got a faint touch on the ball which made it difficult.

Of course that will need to improve but that should come with confidence. Once you start scoring your composure in front of usually improves and at the moment he is lacking that.

He always got into good positions with us as well. But he has not improved his composure over the last 3-4 seasons. Not sure how that is going to change suddenly.

By playing upfront week in week out and strikers are usually quite streaky. Once they start scoring it can become routine for them but when they are out of form they will miss the most easiest chances. I don't know how what kind of level Welbeck will achieve but I've been happy enough so far with him. Going in against Man City & Dortmund away is no easy prospect, far better strikers than him have found it hard against them.

Something worth noting, Louis van Gaal in his press conference stated he has five strikers competing for two positions (included Januzaj).

Danny Welbeck obviously needs work on his finishing and he wasn't going to get it under LvG. He does well to get himself into good positions but from there I don't know how he can improve but if anybody does it's Wenger.

I think Henry was 22 in his first season at Arsenal, he actually scored over 20 goals so he must have already had the skills and simply became more lethal as he entered his prime years. Did Wenger need to do much work with him?

Henry improved a lot under Wenger when it comes to his finishing but his touch inside the box and his urgency were already good. Welbeck always does the same things, he tumbles, he slips, he miscontrols, he mishits etc etc etc... It's like when it gets to the most important moment of a striker's game, he just doesn't have the nerves.

My first impression of TH was: 'fantastic player but not clinical and won't get 20 goals a season'.

I still think he will come good, if Wenger puts the same faith in him as he does to his other youngsters. His movement for the second chance was excellent, was just a bit unlucky with the finish. Third one was typical Danny as some has said, but he is also very capable of nailing some sweet strikes from outside the box.

Always thought Henry played like he had more time on the ball than the average player and he could slow himself down when he needed to, with Welbeck there's always that hustle and speed in every aspect of his game.

He is the next Cameron Jerome

So we sold "Cameron Jerome" for 20 million, not a bad deal

He is the type to work hard for the team but he is just not clinicial enough. It does not matter if it was City or Dortmund or MK Dons. He has always lacked composure and I don't see how just by playing as a striker that is coming to develop all of a sudden.

Someone's going to reply to you with 'playing him as a striker'. You're going to respond with 'But there's Giroud'. It's been done many times over. It's difficult to reach any conclusions now, why don't we discuss this after three months to get a much clear picture?

I've followed him since he was 16 and came on v us in an FA Youth cup tie. Patience is the word.

Danny is a weird one. (3rd miss)You know how hard it is to do that turn(great first touch + turn + pressure from defender)? and he missed the easy part.

I think it's because he's too unselfish. If he becomes lazier and prefer to just wait in front more rather than dropping back and save his energy just to finish and train more on his finishing and composure than anything else I think he will score a lot of goals.

Rooney used to be really a hard worker. And in the recently years, it seems he produced more goals and assists than the kind of skills, run, consistent first touch class and pressure on defenders that he used to do in the past.

He's very sharp, strong, quick but he has no composure. If he had composure, he'd be a United regular. It is a shame as if he could put it all together, he'd be the complete package.

You can improve composure and I reckon Welbeck will too if he keeps playing regularly at Arsenal. Wenger's a great manager for a young(ish) player as well.

Welbeck hasn't got it. That's been clear for a while. The fact he's gone to Arsenal means feck all.

Hmm, I think Rooney still works hard though. For instance, a few occasions last weekend he was back, clearing the ball from his box. He was also routinely showing up deep, more in midfield to link the play.

It's true though that if Welbeck restricts his work a bit more, might help him. Interesting to see if Arsene wants him to do that.

He's a decent footballer. Funny to see the media building him up and this place massively knocking him down now that he's joined Arsenal/left United.
