Danny Welbeck | Arsenal player

He played nothing in the two goals they scored and winning the corner for the 2nd should never count. Winning corners is seen as a good thing now ?

If he wasn't playing for a rival, my position would be different but i'm not crazy, i will not support a rival player. If he does well that's good but if he does badly that's better.
My view is that, as long as we finish ahead of them in the league, as long as they don't knock us out of any cups, he can be the best player in the world and score 40.

Integral player for Arsenal. Even moreso than Giroud. No doubt he will eventually justify the transfer fee. Impressed with how he changed the game once he came on.

The Welbeck super fans will clutch at any straws in order to critise our decision to sell him. Despite the fact that he hasn't been particularly good since moving, they will pull up any stat to prove otherwise. I can't get my head around our own 'fans' being so desperate to show the club up and also how they so desperately want to support a player at a now rival club. The mind really does boggle.

Lolz. Enjoying your game, Danny? He's an improvement on Giroud though, I'll give him that, but that doesn't say much now, does it?

You've lost the argument when you have to resort to partisan shit like that.

As a United fan, calling it as I see it. Welbeck is having a good season so far at Arsenal. He was justified to move. He is doing better than all our strikers bar Rooney. We had good reason to let him go, and I'm glad he did. Arsenal fans I know rate his ability and have faith in his potential.

I stopped reading after "lost the argument". Juvenile.

Never said anything bad against Kagawa just his legion of fans.

I think you are fooling yourself.

But I think it comes down to a simple fact with Kagawa. If you're shite and ineffective most times you play for my club, I'll generally think you're not good enough.

That's March 10 2014 in the Shinji Kagawa thread.

That was also the time when you were giving praise to Young and Cleverley despite it was there for all to see almost the entire team was poor last season, Kagawa was not relatively worse than Young or Cleverley.

They were clearly better after Danny came on. Although he wasn't as good as Krkic was for Stoke.

Played good today. Did good after coming on. Could have got a goal, but his shot resulted in the corner for Ramsey's goal. Overall much better than Giroud, but that's hardly an accomplishment.

Was it because of Welbeck though or other factors such as complacency from Stoke due to being so far ahead and in general a necessary response from Arsenal?

I didn't watch the game, like a fool I watched Liverpool vs Sunderland, so I can't comment on his impact.

Correlation not equalling causation and all.

It was the same thing as when he was with us. Their movement, pace, and ability to disrupt the opposition defense improved when he was on the pitch compared to when it was just Giroud. That is of course not an argument about whether or not we should've kept him - we were quite right to sell him so he could play. Just making a point that Arsenal are better when Danny is on the pitch as opposed to on the bench.

Priceless. I wake up to two pages of Danny thread. "Ohhh, must have scored a couple". Then I read... He... Eh, won a corner and ran around a lot, basically, by the sound of it. So, a standard Danny performance really. Well done Louis, another spot on decision.

Welbeck so far has 3 goals in 13 games in Prem this season. RvP has 4 in 12 and is under severe criticism. Falcao has been injured most of the season so far. Rooney is as you said much better this season. Can't see Welbeck playing this season as a started under LvG having in mind the attackers we have. So far LvG decision to sell him seems spot on.

He's doing ok at Arsenal. Wouldn't call scoring in 4 games out of 15 having a good season for a forward at a top club.

Yeah, that's all fine, but are you worried now?

3-0 down, he comes on and it's 3-2.

He didn't do a thing you're right
I think more had to do with the momentum shifting to Asnl after they got the first goal - up until they scored he was invisible and even after I don't think aside from a few nice touches he was that great. Hell had it been 4 nil I bet no one would have mentioned him

Champions League?

And his general play has been much better. But like I have been saying for a few seasons, he needed to move for his own benefit.

had one great game and 3 ok ones. It's typical Welbeck there as well.

Why are people in here still wanking over him?

I found it quite telling in the game against us, where he fluffed three decent chances in a big game, flattering to deceive through his movement.

Then Rooney got one chance and won the match, dinking it cool as you like over Martinez.
