Really great news. Wilcox, Ashworth and Berrada all in by mid-July. Important for the start of the project running smoothly.
 
Finally. Lets hope we can see some differences in this summer's window with him and Wilcox in place.
 
Great news.

A lot to do for both Ashworth & Wilcox, hopefully they put a good plan together to revamp and improve the club's recruitment process and move away from manager led signings.

Sounds to me as if Newcastle gave in and took whatever they needed to fill their gap in PSR. Not at all the positive spin I was expecting from their side especially considering he can start straight away.

Might be September before we find out officially at our end but have no doubt the figure will become known before them through the usual channels. Im reading that Newcastle tweet as a negative for them so cant imagine it was the full amount they wanted.

It definitely wouldn't be the full amount as it was negotiated before arbitration. We/Ashworth would've just gone through with it rather than pay full amount.

Hopefully a sizeable drop off from their ridiculous demands.

You’d think so. Having to balance the books had to have given us a strong bargaining position. Especially with the knowledge that arbitration was unlikely to award anywhere close to £15 million considering the precedent it would set.

I think its highly unlikely that he wouldn't of had input into these targets or at the very least given his blessing.
 
Luke Edwards and other Newcastle journalists not reporting few means it's might be small fee. Edwards and others don't miss a chance to gloat about bigger fee or to praise Newcastle.
 
I assume he's aware and on-board with our pursuit of the likes of Zirkzee, De Ligt and Branthwaite?

I hope he somehow wasn't, and that he bins those targets as soon as he comes in.
