Cuadrado

Just scanning the Spanish press, they think United and Barca have talked about personal terms with Cuadrado, but neither have a deal with the club. MD think United are willing to offer €40m+€10m, Barca €40m. Sport think neither club has offered €40m.

They are probably right about Barca, but neither will know anything about United's offer (or lack of).

Sport say Barca's alternatives are Juanfran (Atletico) and Lukasz Piszczek of Dortmund.

Interesting that Fiorentina just said they're getting Marin on loan from Chelsea.

Or, you know, possibly completely unrelated.

1) No way Di Maria will stay
2) No way Modric or Kroos will be on the bench......they're so stupid and play Modric & Kroos together

He's still a Madrid player right now, until he leaves he should be included with their options. Which looks daft as i've put Falcao up front but y'know...

Modric and Kroos playing together in a 4231? Can't see that working.

According to my facebook, Talksport have claimed Cuadrado has arrived in Manchester for a medical? true or bollocks? Probably the latter I'm sure.

Those guys alway the same, they probably asked United "Do you want to sign him?" and they answered "Feck off, we don't want to say anything."

Next day the headline, United talked to me and they have no interest in Cuadrado.

Not really. I'm sure that happens at times but this isn't one of them. They don't get told everything but they're fed certain information and in this case it's clear we've told them we aren't in for Cuadrado or Di Maria, just like we told them when Van Gaal decided against Kroos.

And why do you think that this time? English media is a joke for me, they just proved the whole summer that they are just play a guessing game. This week deal really close, next week we were never interested etc..
And even if we say them some things, I don't think we say them what we really want. For example I am pretty sure we wanted Kroos, but he rejected us for Real, that was only a "save your face" statement.

You've got to separate the proven bullshitters from the ones who actually get the info though. None of the latter group mentioned Cuadrado as a target and they've cleearly been told in this instance we aren't in for him.

On the Kroos front the story was that Van Gaal didn't follow up on the club's initial interest and that's proven to be correct. I don't buy this face saving malarky, we were quite honest when Vermaelen chose Barcelona over us.

Wasn't Vermaelen more a case of "Arsenal didn't want to sell to us anyway"? Maybe there are some reliable ones outthere too, but especially this summer the most of them (especially in UK) are imo completely clueless and if I look at Herrera I am not sure if we really brief any people. Many reported things for Shaw too, but none of them had a clue when we really finished the deal.

It's hard to separate the good from the bad but you're right in that there's a massive load of bell ends who haven't the foggiest.

I will not be getting my hopes up seeing as Barcelona are interested.

Is Cuadrado any good? What's his position etc.,?

Can play as a RWB or RW. Was quite good for Fiorentina last season and good in the world cup too apart from having a shocker against Brazil. Tricky but selfish and does go a bit solo, good to watch when on song. Can be a bit frustrating I feel. But finer judgement can be given by someone who has watched him consistently.

Jaaaaaaamie Jackson from the Guaaaaaardian can go take his face for a shit. This one is on.
