LVG is just so brutally honest.
I think LVG might be tougher on his players than SAF was even. Saying what he said about Schweinsteiger can be quite hurting.

Why do you say RM was his boyhood team? Paddy asked him when he was at United and it was Benfica. If Ronaldo knew then what he knows now? He'd probably have signed for Barcelona
Rafa has done so much for United in his career. Sending Ronaldo back to us would round it off nicely.

I suspect that, in Ronaldo's mind, we are the footballing equivalent of Eastbourne / Florida (depending where you're from) - somewhere he plans to retire to. A last hurrah once he's achieved everything in Madrid.

Obviously his parents watched Spanish football but it's still not a childhood dream. Fact is I think Madrid or certain Spanish clubs wanted him but he chose to come to England.
Why wouldn't you want a player of this calibre to come? But realistically never going to happen, these rumours have been happening every year don't know why people fall into the trap every time, he won't be coming, he will stay at Madrid for a few more years then will head off to the USA for one last pay day.
