Confirmed: Moyes sacked.

Am I making a fuss or is it the people who categorically feel the need to point out that he was paid millions so it's right to treat him like shit? There is no fuss in being a human being. Being hidden behind a computer screen doesn't give anyone a right to act like a complete tosser.
I hate it when money gets brought up. He is still a human being with a family who must be going through hell. The way he has aged since taking the job must be awful for his family to witness. Yes he will get a nice settlement which will make sure he is financially secure, but his professional pride must have taken a real battering.

I am not denying any of it to be honest. Just that compassion is a strong word to use. I feel bad for anyone who gets the sack. But at least he has a lot to fall back on and won't have to go through uncertain times like most normal people.

I don't think this job will go against him at all. Anyone taking the job straight after SAF was on a hiding to nothing. Future employers will know that.

Hopefully he's given a bit of a warchest, I think Fellaini would make an ideal first signing for his new club. We could even throw in a couple of coaching staff to ease the deal through :) Seriously though I have no fears for Moyes at all he will be fine, a great manager he may not be but he is a good one who has just learned a great deal more.

Like Moyes unsanctimoniously sold Fabio without giving him a proper chance? Punishing players for having fun? Sacking a highly reputable coach without hesitation?

We've been to kind if any, at any other club he would be sacked midgame
You need to separate the reasons for sacking him from the way the club is going about sacking him. That's all I'm referring to. I would say the same thing were it any manager at any club.

Sky sports news reporting that Moyes has turned up with the coaching staff at Carrington
If I think I know Moyes character well enough, I don't think he will leave without giving them all a piece of his mind, telling them that they let him down and cost him his job. He will love reading the riot act one last time. I hope deep down that he realises he's the one who is responsible for losing his job, no one else.

But he's not being treated like shit. He's had the backing of the board and the matchgoing fans right till the end.

Has there been any new development? I do believe one of the biggest mistakes Moyes made was underestimating the job he was taking.

I suddenly feel sorry for him.

If it was Rooney who'd been fecked off however... GANGNAM STYLE.

According to the security it appears so. Sounds like a man who was asked to collect his things before everyone else turned up and it became a full blown circus.
I actually feel sad for him now. I don't think he was the right choice and I haven't warmed to him as a person during his time here (which is one of the main reasons why I found it difficult to support him after all failures), he's been very smug IMO and seems full of himself, very convinced about his own ability and willing to shift the blame towards the players, but I actually feel a bit sad right now.

The man had once in a lifetime opportunity to manage a club as big as this and obviously ended his 11-year stint Everton that would have continued for double that time if we hadn't come knocking at the time, now he's been found out and knows well that he's not going to be in this position again.

He's probably not going to manage in the Champions League ever again unless he's offered a job at a reasonably big German club like it was rumoured prior to his arrival here, he's not going to manage a club that could allow him to spend £65m on players during one year, it's all done and he's back to the level he left to come here. I feel a considerable amount of sympathy for the man even though I don't particularly like him. I wish him well, hope he finds his feet back at another PL club and then perhaps goes abroad to develop as a manager. I'd love it if he got Leverkusen or Schalke job a few years down the line and was successful there, after this horrific year it'd do him a world of good.

Exactly.

At least keep quiet and respect him.

You base his "good life" based on how much cash he earns. How many of us good guys have millions of people watching, analysing, critiquing every single move we make? It isn't easy. Being a good guy doesn't spare you the sack. He is out of hhis depth and needs to go. But don't fool yourself that everything is easy for him, and that he doesn't deserve to be treated with decency. Don't be so naive

This isn't about Moyes the manager anyway. It's about Moyes the human, and just like any of us, he deserves to go through a sacking in a much much better organised and dignified way. Just because he has done a bad job, you think it's right to humiliate him? God save us.

It's not easy for him, it's not easy for everyone being sacked.

And we treated him with decency, it's not like we escorted him out at half time (which is what Madrid will probably do), he doesn't get sacked midway ala RDM, he doesn't get sacked after finishing 2nd.

There's nothing over the top about his sacking IMO

I am not asking anyone to feel sad for him. I am against the notion that no one should as he was paid millions.

I am not saying that one cannot feel bad. Anyway, we are going off on a tangent here. Just read on twitter that Mail confirmed he has been sacked.

No, please go ahead and grieve for him. But then don't make a fuss if others don't follow suit. I don't understand all this "we should show more compassion towards him".

It's not about him though. I'd show compassion for any human in his position or in the position if your mate. It's about being human no? Just because he was and is shit, doesn't mean we need to destroy his life. There is more to living than money. If I had a dream job and I lost it no amount of money could put a smile on my face.

I have a hunch all this will be confirmed at the top of the hour. Don't take my word for it though, just stating my opinion.

Righty-ho, I'll place £2000 on it being official before 9:30 then. Cheers pal, nice to know I have an ITK I can trust around here :D

I forgot Barca are struggling. I hope they win La Liga just so they don't come after Klopp. I want him so badly :(. Assuming Moyes is officially gone...will wait for the club to confirm.

The mail can't 'confirm' it, only the club or Moyes can do that.

Nothing is confirmed until there is a statement from the club.

Or an official tweet; "he's gone, lolzy"

Just imagine if the club denied all that sacking stories

It'd be hilarious because Drifter said so. Even more so if we were relegated next year, imagine the hysteria here HAHAHaHAHAHAHAHAHA

I don't feel that bad for him. I feel sorry for him because he didn't ask for this. He was given an offer he couldn't refuse and was out of his depth from day one but I think he will be quite happy to be relieved if his duties. Pressure off, go on holiday and relax.

I agree, he looks ill. For his own health and state of mind he had to go. It's also now official.

Yes, I can differentiate that.

It's not possibly the sweetest method, but it's far from cruel and harsh either. It's just normal business practice. There are many managers given a much harsher boot but this one is still decent.

Unless they spill the rumor and sack him 2 mths from now, but I don't think 1-2 days leaking the news in advance for whatever purpose is inappropriate. Managers are rumored to be sacked all the time, and we have been very quiet and supportive all this time. If any I think the board has shown great restrain

It's been handled poorly since the day SAF's retirement was leaked. Moyes wasn't the person for the job but to pin all of the blame on him is taking a really simplistic view on things

Maybe you are right. It's just that he has left us in such a mire, I feel relieved more than sad. There will be a brief moment when I see him leave the Carrington that I will feel bad for him but I will immediately feel happy that he has left and we will get a better manager in.

In few words he's got zero experience as coach right? There's a big difference between obeying orders and actually making them (even though in a more restricted environment).

There's nothing wrong in keeping 1-2 inexperienced coaches and groom them to brilliance WHEN you've got a stable side filled with quality coaches. However we dont have that. Also it seems that no matter what happens a player never retires at OT. Players keep playing at 35-40 years of age and then they are given a coaching role irrespectively if they are still/is good in the role or if there's somewhere better for that role (externally).
No, zero experience??? good grief. No wonder you get so much wrong.
