Any credibility has just vanished.
whats the point in replacing him with someone who hasn't a hope, or has about the same chance, of getting us back up to the top of the league and will just have to be replaced again in 2 years? just a waste of time. should be going for the top managers is all im saying, not someone whos not been good enough for his last two big jobs

I still don't understand the point of waiting till tomorrow. If the decision has been made just announce it.

It's like waxing your chest. Easier to do it in one swoop than going a little at a time.

Note: I haven't ever waxes my chest.

BTW @Balu will probably agree with this in regards to van Gaal, he might not get the perfect results himself (although he might, he did win the double with Bayern and only missed out on CL narrowly just 4 years ago) but he will lay foundations for the next manager to build on and is one of the main reasons for Bayern's strength right now. He's great working with the youth too and tends to get the best out of players.

We just differ on opinion about van gaal. I think he's a good manager btw, just don't think he's much of an improvement on moyes really. I don't have to 'give in' when he got sacked only a couple years ago for having bayern 4th in a handy little german league. I don't think really that puts him in the elite bracket of managers, even if he did win the CL 20 years ago

He is not much better than Moyes? Are you having a laugh with that? He got sacked by Bayern but every Bayern fan will admit he laid the foundations for this awesome team. Same with Barca. And I am not talking about his CL win here. Just his charisma and how his teams play football. He is the exact opposite of Moyes idea of having to worry about opposition first.

Can you imagine if he was not sacked. This would be the sickest joke of all time and it would put the final nail in what has been a disastrous season.

If this whole rumor of Moyes being fired turns out to be false, I wouldn't be surprised if Rio is banned from the ground for the rest of the season..
I don't think Rio would be acting like a complete knob unless he knew Moyes was on his way out.

Ferdinand's a fan at this point so it's not like he is doing something we wouldn't. All we need now is RVP to tweet van Gaal ;)

Guardian reporter just tweeted this, feck their cryptic tweets:

Clearly United have press released something but its probably under embargo. The journalists know but aren't willing or able to share yet. Someone will leak it soon though. These things never stay secret for long.

I think how much the fans have acted like brats this year will put off a huge amount of managers, also no CL football and a squad looking like it's not capable of finishing ahead of liverpool/chelsea/city next season. I see what you're saying and there is opportunity there, but with how tight the glazers usually are, how harsh the fans have been from the first few games this season and with how poor a lot of the team have been this season, I can't imagine why someone would leave a good situation to come here and risk smashing their reputation.

It's absolute nonsense that the fans have acted poorly or like brats this season.

We reached a nadir yesterday, how many anti-Moyes chants did you hear in the crowd? None.

In fact, there haven't been any anti-Moyes chants this season at all. The one petulant anti-Moyes act (the plane banner) was met with boos and jeers by the crowd, whether they liked Moyes as manager or not.

The fans have a right to be angry at what Moyes has done to the club, but the behaviour of those in the stands has largely been exemplary.

its kinda all well and good saying 'ye he laid foundations for an empire' or whatever. that's fine. just think we should be going for top managers not ones that have bayern in 4th in a pretty shallow league in april. like I said, he's a good manager, he has plenty of good points, but he's just another manager who's not going to get us where we want to be, he'll sign a ton of players, get the chop, new managers comes in, rinse repeat. That's just the way I see it, we'll see if I'm right in 12 months time

He clarified it in a later tweet and said he just meant what a day etc.

Jamie Jackson just reposnded to "is Moyes' sacking a foregone conclusion or still speculation at this stage? Unusual for rumours to be so widespread." saying that "these are not rumours"
As Carragher said this has to have come from the Club (I don't agree with how it has been done) but its only a matter of time
