Good point, also Toni Kroos might be disappointed at not getting the chance to work with David Moyes.
Guardian reporter just tweeted this, feck their cryptic tweets:
Will getting rid of Moyes be a problem for any transfer targets that may be part way in to being worked through?. A new manager in may not want the targets that are currently being pursued.
Crumbs... as in, "Oh crumbs, the leak was a wind up."
Let's not entertain such barbarism.Crumbs... as in, "Oh crumbs, the leak was a wind up."
Is the crumbs quote supposed to mean something? Or is he just being a Bevis?I can't stand Jamie Jackson.

I think Gary Neville is seriously blinded by some false idea of Manchester United. Those players won the league last season and you would think that they would be full of belief. A bad manager took down every bit of confidence from the players. And a good manager made players like Iago Aspas believe that they could be champions. I don't get how Moyes could even make his own team. He would still have most of the players from the current side. The same players he sipped confidence out from. It would be the same story again next season. Even Manchester United don't have the money to buy a whole new squad. It's become accepted wisdom on the Caf that we are shite, that our players are nowhere near good enough.
Meanwhile, Liverpool are about to win the league after bringing in the likes of Victor Moses and Iago Aspas to strengthen the side that finished 7th the previous season.
I want to start a WE LOVE KLOPP thread to entice him here....need a snappier title though
did he not get sacked at bayern for having them 4th in bundasliga in april? that's tough to do. Previous job, sacked at Barca when they were flirting with relegation in January
Stahp it, Olly!

We just differ on opinion about van gaal. I think he's a good manager btw, just don't think he's much of an improvement on moyes really. I don't have to 'give in' when he got sacked only a couple years ago for having bayern 4th in a handy little german league. I don't think really that puts him in the elite bracket of managers, even if he did win the CL 20 years agoHe is a very good manager with a proven track record which does not involve spending hundreds of millions. You are digging yourself a grave here with those silly arguments. Just give in on this one.
Sky Sports news have just stated that UTD do not need to inform the stock exchange as moyes is not a member of the board.

See, that's a reasonable argument against hiring Van Gaal. It isn't ideal indeed; if we had a Director of Football it would be less of an issue but we don't operate that way.Van Gaal, preparing for a World Cup & only after that, preparing for United - not ideal.
yeah fair enough. I don't think it will do at all given how badly both of those ended, the players he fell out with and the fact that he'll only have half a summer yet again in the job. I'll go fecking mad if we still have giggs in CM next seasonHe got them to a CL final. And any bayern fan will tell you he modernised their football and laid a foundation for his successor to build on.
Sacked after winning succesive league titles at barca.
He may end up burning his bridges, but he'll do well in the shortterm and probably leave a good team for the man who comes after.
Yeah but that wasnt the point I was wondering about.I would stake my house on the fact that dumping Moyes will considerably increase our chances of signing decent players.

Which is irrelevant once the stock exchange closes anyway.
Yup, he's pretty much saying he's happy about the rumours but isn't allowed to be. At least that's how I interpreted it. Bit dickish.Well Rio is fecked if Moyes is not being sacked, that's for sure.
he knows he has no future and thinks this is him going out with a bang or something, brave rio standing up to the managerShut up Rio.
