Confirmed: Moyes sacked.

I just can't feel sorry for him. However he performed, he did become Manchester United manager, was chosen by saf and will always have a number of clubs wanting his signature. Just not the bigger clubs which is fine because he's not good enough for them and I think he'd be happier at a place where he actually belongs.

Even when we were Newton Heath, I predicted that Moyes would be fired out of a catapult.

I thought I'd post this seeing as people are still mentioning Klopp. This is a recent statement. The guy turned down barca for feck sake.

Wankfest on the CAF... I always stood by him to be our next SAF... it saddens me to see the titles...

Yeah he's been utter shite, but I can't help feel bad for him.
If you feel bad for him, how do you feel about our players, our club, our fans? (in comparison). It's taking too long for him to tender his resignation when he knows too well the job is too big for him.

I genuinely feel really sorry for him.

You are not on your own mate there are others who thought he could do a good job at first , I did but when he jettisoned the backroom staff I had no sympathy
But for all the decent people who defended him my hat goes off to you , who is to say you were wrong maybe he could of brought success to United,
I do feel sorry for him ,but he has contributed to his own downfall ,but then again that's my opinion

Wouldnt be surprised if barca went knocking for rodgers. Getting a 7th place team with what is essentially not that good a team to win premier league...he'll be saught after this year mark my words. Would he say no to barca? May be the only chance he gets
I don't think barca will go for him but if they want him they will get him of course.

I'll wish him good luck but will never feel sorry too.

Would be very surprised if he left Liverpool after the winning the league. He will probably get the wages, transfer money and autonomy he will he want at Liverpool now.

If the "warchest" is as substantial as rumoured and Moyes does indeed go, we'll need a big name manager to attract the right calibre of player in the absence of CL football. Hopefully we'll get Klopp and he'll bring 1 or 2 Dortmund players with him

Reus and Gundogan as hand baggage?

We all know that things/minds can change quickly in football. Personal preference is always depending on circumstances and needs.

Just saw this story now. Strange that it might actually be happening after all the doubt.

Feel sorry for Moyes but he really has burned through our patience, it's for the best.

Hopefully we don't go for Van Gaal. Would it really be too much to hope for Klopp? I know it's unlikely but...

At the start, so did I. But the comparison doesn't take into account quality. SAF is just a better manager than Moyes, even at the same stages of their careers.

I wonder if he just stayed at Everton on a new long term contract, would a bigger team have tried to get him to be their manager in the following 3-4 years? I really think we were his only shot at a big job because of our weird hiring standard.

Offer him more money, everyone has a price...

He turned down Barcelona. Honestly, stop living in denial.

Yeah I know he's most probably seeing out his contract with Dortmund. But you never know in life. Things changed. If a manager does want to impose his philosophy at a giant club, united, given the freedom we give managers is a dream really. But it would be a big surprise if he moved anytime soon.

We may be a more tempting prospect now - anyone joining would be confident of doing better. I feel for DM, but ANYONE (just about) knows they are going to immediately improve matters.

The players...those highly paid athletic professionals who should have pride in the shirt and play for the shirt regardless of who the manager is? No sympathy.

The club...who are under seemingly intense fan/media pressure to make a decision when they appeared to have made a long term one last year? Some sympathy, they're in a tough spot.

The fans? No sympathy whatsoever. It's football, not life. A disappointing season is a miniscule problem.

I genuinely feel really sorry for him.

What is to feel sorry about ?

He has gotten the chance of a life time
He received a massive paycheck
He has gotten the freedom to do what he liked at the club
He was backed up with sufficient funding
He hasn't been worked out by any board members, players or fans

The reality is he simply can't handle the job, his football is meaningless, the results he gets aren't any beter than what he got at Everton, he failed on every goal set forward, by some distance, he wasted an entire summer and £27.5m on Fellaini, he never managed to even properly start rebuilding United as I still have no clue what kind of system he wants us to play in, and generally I think he doesn't know it either.

If there is anybody you got to feel sorry for us it is the fans, not only did they lose a club legend, they have had to sit down and watch Moyes replacing him, they have had to endure the worst transfer summer in decades, they have to watch an entire season of gutless, negative and uneffective football, they have had to see their beloved club being mocked and ridiculed an entire season by opposition fanns. They have to experience losing out on CL for the first time in decades, they have had realize Liverpool winning the title and crawling back on their perch from which it took SAF 27 years to knock them off. And worst of all they have had to wake up every morning realizing that this wasn't a bad dream but that it was reality and it would likely continue next season aswell.

But no lets feel sorry for Moyes....MIND = BLOWN

Really? Some people like Klopp and Ferguson are committed. Hard as that may sound.
I'm not saying he can definitely be bought, but no harm trying... and we can easily triple his salary.

Autonomy yes, but money? Not really, liverpool have no way near the resources the other top 4 do and thats not including us. They were perilously close to going into administration before the new guys turned up. They'll get back to being rich with couple of years of cl football but not at the moment.

All relative of course, im just comparing to other top 4 teams.

I dont think he will leave but theres a chance and we need to act quickly

assuming this is all true..... I don't get people feeling sorry for him.
He, like some of our players, are just not good enough for Utd. He had ample time to get it right and barring one or two good results he totally fecked it up from the very beginning with the Fellaini transfer to our game yesterday.

His philosophy is almost diametrically opposed to that of Barca. Not a surprise. Not saying he'll come to us though.
Barcelona is a better job than us currently, and certainly last summer.
