"Guys, we're 7th in the league"
"Nah, it's grand, keep him"
"... we went out of the CL"
"Nope, he's fine"
"he spent 27m on afrodude"
"Good signing imo"
"We got smashed by Liverpool, City, Everton and Chelsea"
"No no no, stop it now, we're keeping him."
"... Welbeck wants to leave"
"Get him the f*ck out right now!"

To those more in the know than me. Does it definitely have to be announced to NYSE first? If so, is the NYSE open today? If so, would it not have been announced early morning US time so midday for us?

Mixed feelings, slight relief at the fact next season we could have Klopp in charge or someone with great experience, but also sad that it didn't/hasn't worked for Moyes, it would of been somewhat romantic to have another Working Class scottish chap to take over and lead us to more glory.

I agree. But would discontent from the likes of Welbeck have influenced SAF? It may have contributed to SAF finally losing faith - i.e. Moyes is destroying the academy grads?

I wouldn't be surprised if we sacked Moyes and Welbeck still moved on. He isn't likely to be a permanent fixture in the starting XI here.

As a temporary solution is would. He's a massively respected figure not only at this club, but pretty much everywhere. The only question is if he'd be cut out to be a manager, as being a legend alone obviously isn't enough.
The rumour is, he's taking care of it for rest of season (to allow time for smooth transition for a proper manager). It's good for the team and everyone and I do believe we will win the rest of the games if Giggs is in charge (for obvious reason because players do know there is a future in the club when Moyes is out)

Yep met him a few times he is a decent bloke. If he finds out second hand through some source I would be disappointed as a United supporter.

He might be but he has acted worse than Mourinho on those presses this year. Ultimatelly that isn't a reason if he should continue destroying us or getting sacked, but I always ofound strange people (who don't know him personally) calling him a nice bloke when he didn't look like one on the press. Personally, he might be a saint but on TV he was far from a decent man.

NYSE is open today but in my (limited) experience, big RNS updates like this tend to be released about an hour before the markets open. This would make sense with a few of the rumours flying around as it would mean delaying this until tomorrow morning. However they may react differently as the rumours are so strong at the minute.

Supposedly United can't announce it during trading hours, which seems unusual. That means it will be 4:00 in NY before it can be officially announced.

I know TalkSport and Collymore are not like but they haven't said anything crazy. They've simply said that Moyes has not been sacked. He probably hasn't been sacked just yet but we're in the process of it.

If this whole thing is completely made up by some journalists, it will be one of the biggest scandals in a while. I can't believe it's gotten to this point without having an ounce of truth in it.
If it's so it has set the wheels motion, surely the overwhelming support of the decision is being monitored by the club, it makes it much easier to sack him knowing the fans and certainly the players don't trust him.

It looks like there was a clause in the contract about a top 4 finish.

He would have been gone long ago hadn't not been for that.
