More likely to be a leak from players.

Wouldn't worry too much about the time it will take, a number of journos from the papers that broke the story said that it will happen in next few days maybe a week. Takes time to get that legal things sorted, especially when it's less than one year b in a 6 year contact

An update for anyone who isn't following as much as myself and others: Club contacted by various news outlets. The response from the club is he has not been fired. When asked if he will be, they refuse to comment. Reported by MEN, BBC and others.

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I missed 30 pages of this brilliant news.

All the reasons why Moyes got the sacked are the same things the moyes-out camp kept saying all these months, only to be vilified by the Moyes supporters. I feel vindicated.

I am happy to know that the Man United management of not completely loost their minds,.

thank you Glazers and thank you board for finally coming to your senses.

This news is better news than signing Ronaldo and Messi.

Rooney must be bricking it now.

He's no longer guaranteed to start every game and he's no longer immune from being subbed off.

 Come on people, can you really imagine the board thinking "well I could understand him taking the champions down to 7th place, but now he's made Danny Welbeck unhappy?! I'm as mad as I've ever been!"

Wonderful news if true.

As a temporary solution is would. He's a massively respected figure not only at this club, but pretty much everywhere. The only question is if he'd be cut out to be a manager, as being a legend alone obviously isn't enough.

hang on big lad...nothing is official.

If this whole thing is completely made up by some journalists, it will be one of the biggest scandals in a while. I can't believe it's gotten to this point without having an ounce of truth in it.

So many of the journos would all look like fools all at once as well, usually when a story like this is reported en masse, there's truth in it. If not then it will just reinforce the saying that hope being the thing that hurts most.

Hopefully you feel vindicated enough to retire from the internet.

You know him personally (that he is decent). He has acted anything except decent on the big screen this season, has been completely disgraceful blaming everything and everyone. Even when he blamed himself on the next sentence he blamed the players.

Yep met him a few times he is a decent bloke. If he finds out second hand through some source I would be disappointed as a United supporter.

Fake account. Plus it would be daft if the board took action because one of our squad players wanted to leave, when there are more compelling reasons to sack him.

I agree. But would discontent from the likes of Welbeck have influenced SAF? It may have contributed to SAF finally losing faith - i.e. Moyes is destroying the academy grads?

They wouldn't tell the media. They would have to notify the NYSE first of all because it's a change that will affect the share price.
