Confirmed: Moyes sacked.

What would people think it Giggs was offered the job long term?
See how he does till the end of the season but im not sure I could see the glazers trusting him with the fabled warchest anymore than I can see his brother asking him to pop in and check on his wife whilst he is away
could be a cheap option though plus I would make a bit of money as a stuck a tenner on him a while ago but I feel its unlikely

C'mon guys, the four words are "definitely not been sacked". Hence "definitely" starts with a capital. "Moyes" is in relation to the "re: Moyes" part of the tweet. Otherwise they've just said "re:" without then having it in regards to anything.

I really really hope this is true, the guy has no business being a Manchester United manager but I'am still not convinced he'll be sacked. I'll only believe it if I'll see an offical statement about it. I sorta mentally convinced myself he would be here for atleast another and that I would have to deal with that, I'am not ready for the disappointment of letting go of that mind set and than still seeing him here next season.

It is starting to look more likely however.

Bear in mind, none of the reports have said that he's been sacked. Merely that he will be, soon.

This is why I've not allowed myself to get too carried away. It'll be gut wrenching if nothing happens.

I do think some match-goers were idiots who were singing Moyes songs as a fashion statement. It could have backfired if the cnut managed even basic competence. I'd be part of a group singing "every single one of us will stand by David Moyes" and I'd know none of them even rated him.

You're saying the Everton result had no effect on this? It was the perfect demonstration of how limited he is as a manager. The final straw.

No I'm not saying that all.

Of course it was always coming but what kind of "supporter" ever wants to see their side lose?

anyone else feel like the guy in the Hangover?

"what the fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuccckkk is goingggg oonnnnnnnnnnnnn"

Giggs? Are people out of their mind.

No to him or Ole.

Klopp, Simeone, Ancelotti or LVG.

Feel for the guy, as many thing have gone against him. Yet, i cant see how we can progress with him, not without becoming an uncompetitive side over the next few years while he rebuilds.

No top players would want to come to United with him in charge.

Didn't think you'd have the balls to sack him to be honest.
The Welbeck story showed his time was up. A fan favourite recently fined for being on the piss hours after losing a Champions League quarter final briefing the press saying he needs more game time and doesn't have a good relationship with his manager, I think that gave a little glimpse into the mentality of the dressing room. Most on here will celebrate, and we've made the right decision provided we don't balls it up with who we choose, but it seems player power is strong at Old Trafford and I don't think that's something to get excited about.

Simeone was asked about the United job:

"with all due respect to the question and i understand the situation but the match tomorrow is a very important match for us and I am not thinking about anything which is not my players and chelsea."

sacked is such a harsh word so let's get it right.

'he's been shown the door and told not to come back, the useless piece of gollum looking shit. has not been sacked.'

Want an announcement from the club either way. I struggle to believe that the press weren't briefed. Unless they were tricked by someone not affiliated to the club. Going to be a long couple of days.

No I'm not saying that all.

Of course it was always coming but what kind of "supporter" ever wants to see their side lose?
The kind that can recognise that one relatively meaningless loss could potentially lead to several more wins long-terms than would otherwise happen?

Or, alternatively, he got an opportunity that the vast, vast majority of the world's population can only dream of and he fecked it up.

The poster commented on Moyes as a person. He even said that the job was above him in the first place. Let's not look to criticise for the sake of it, eh.

If he was going to be sacked you'd have thought it would have come about differently. Whatever people think about him managerial wise he is a decent bloke who should be the first to know IMO.

We'll just have to see anyway.

Now I can't get my bet on him getting the boot.. A shame, like the guy but we are all in it for ones self..
He has managed to divide the fanbase all season and for that reason he does not deserve to manage the club.. Should have spent more time managing team instead of managing fans reaction....We allready know he is a nice guy and deserved a shot at the big time.. Lets be honest, the lad just can't party.
Now we are not in the CL next season, we will need a guy to keep our spirits up.Won't be disappointed if he stays but will be happy the club has finally done something.

surely every media outlet haven't just jumped the gun have they?
