ffs I miss a few hours on the caf and this thread goes viral. I can't read it all obviously so would anyone be kind enough to summarize what the hell has been going on ?

A load of reputable news outlets all reported within ten minutes of each other than Moyes was going to be sacked. And these were full-length articles that would take a good while to prepare, so it's unlikely that it's a case of someone making it up and the others copying it in the hope of getting hits - they were all working on this long before anyone published their first article.

Smacks of either a leak or a briefing to the press. I think he's gone. Currently, Man United aren't commenting, and more poignantly, not denying.

How have I made myself look like an ass? A pop at the Glazers? You are a very strange poster. I said IF it was true. And its not a baseless tweet. Its a journalist saying that other journalists have been briefed and now we have SSN playing out the exact same scenario. Moyes 'could be sacked'. If that isn't forcing resignation I don't know what is. Strange reaction from you to a perfect normal post from me. Very odd.
"If Rory eats babies he's a very bad man. Typical Rory, though. Always killing children."

I think you should get that dictionary, Rory. Start with "normal."

Everyone reporting moyes sacking imminent. Cue mass joy on the caf apart from 2 people. Similar reaction to signing someone like mata back in January if you want a scale of celebrations

Bit late to the party here. Trying to minimise the excitement until it's official. Depressing that I have to do that over someone leaving the club, but desperate times!

It's been imminent for a while though, coincidence that it happens right after we're mathematically ruled out of the champions league too...

This makes me feel a lot better than Mata's signing for 100% sure.

I'd be relieved for Manchester United but a bit sad for the man. He clearly got a job much above his station and has his managerial reputation in tatters as a result of it.
He'll be fine. Hodgson got the England job after his farce at Liverpool, and moyes is a better manager then him. He'll have no problem finding a job in the premier league.

We should just wait until the day Liverpool become champions. If they do, then reveal it an hour later so it trumps their news.

I'm sure they'd lose sleep at the prospect, having secured the title after 24 years. If anything, it would only highlight the contrasting fortunes.
