Confirmed: Moyes sacked.

I don't see how it can't happen now, matter of when, not if. Sooner rather than later I hope. Already the mood seems to have lifted completely and these are just unconfirmed reports.

I'm just waiting for the words press and conference.

klopp and simone suspended betting on paddypower. why is that?

Bookies responding to a rush. It likely means little more than fans getting getting and whacking a few quid in hope of getting a good early price. Bookies suspend betting all the time. Some bookies suspend live match betting when a team wins a corner, it means little.

I don't want to let myself get too excited in case it turns out to be another of this seasons many false dawns....

In Moyes we trust

Because they don't have any inside information to calculate reasonable odds. It's one of those rare cases where the punters might actually know more than the bookies.

We could probably afford him the dignity of waiting till he's gone rather than talking as if he already has. If he is sacked then its because it hasn't worked out for him here and I don't think its fair to question his intentions coming into the job nor to wish him anything but the best for the future. We'll see what happens.

Surely too much smoke for it to be bullshit?

This is the happiest I've been in about a year. No joke.

My god, this made me

I put my entire betfair roll on him to be next manager to be sacked last night. Unfortunately my roll was £30

I've found myself helping around the house in the last hour. I've been offering to tidy the shed up, cutting the grass and asking anyone if they want a cuppa. I'm so happy right now.

Bit harsh

Maybe so, I dunno, he isn't even remotely likeable. If your mate said that you wouldn't bat an eyelid, but on here everyone seems obsessed with being "classy".

Anyway, hopefully the club won't make another monumental balls up.

The silver lining of him being in the job so long is that if he is sacked, any future candidate should be pretty confident about their prospects for being in the job long-term given that they can provide a decent run on the top-4 next year. Given the reports on warchest that was being given to Moyes they'll be pretty confident of being backed in the market as well.
