Sky now joining in, saying it is unconfirmed:

What's your problem with Klopp Dante? Are you allergic on success and on exciting football?
I neither like him nor the way people who masturbate over him. It's a visceral response rather than one I can logically explain.

Please be true...God please let this be true,Giggs and Phelan till end of the season.i would not believe it till this is confirmed.

It's certainly difficult to imagine that the events aren't some how linked.

(I fear the irony may have been lost in translation somewhere along the line there - just to be clear, I wasn't being serious)

Can someone restart the thread on the next candidate! Klopp please! Fanciful thinking I know...

This... This could be the news that finally brings me back to the football forums. You've all missed me, right?

You're such a hipster.

I still feel sorry for him. Admittedly I realise now he's not the right man but the players haven't been up to scratch this season
That's a very fair comment - you can like or not a person but no one should enjoy seeing someone getting humiliated. People will mention the pay-off he ll get but there s also an element of pride too at stake

It may be a while before we hear the official news. They have to finalize any discussions with Moyes, ratify by the Board and announce to the NYSE.

However this is clearly a briefing by the club not another twitter echo chamber, so I'm sure it'll happen soon.

I really dislike Honigstein. Not necessarily due to his accuracy, which I don't really know, but more because he never has any good news for United fans its always doom and gloom.
He's full of shit. I remember he tweeted saying Klopp would be interested if an approach was made, not more than three weeks ago... Best to ignore IMO

Does anyone have a copy of Ducker's article from The Times - I don't think they're any more reliable than The Guardian or The Telegraph... I've just read all the other papers, need more to pass the time until we hear more.

So then...

Martin O'Neil or Alex Mcleish?
I think the 'previously in love&delighted with Moyes' brigade have learned their lesson and now realize that hardworking Brits who have 'done a job' at nothing clubs are not necessarily qualified to manage a glamorous superclub.

Snicker.
