College Football 2024

The o line should have to walk home and Riley needs to have a good hard look at himself. In both the LSU game and this one he has essentially wasted the first half with cowardly, safe, and ineffective play calling.

Really impressed with Michigan’s D line play.

So two face masks and a blatant horse collar (that injured the receiver) missed. I thought PAC 12 officials were bad…..
I don't know if officiating bias is a real thing in the B1G, but I remember when Nebraska joined that Penn St fans were warning them about Michigan and tOSU getting a lot of favorable/questionable calls. I'm sure they'd say the same thing to USC.

Tried to make it a little interesting at the end, but surprisingly enough it was a relatively straightforward win. Shocked to be honest, since I'm so used to my Vols disappointing me.

Go Vols!

Well…further injuries to critically thin offensive skill positions, defensive injuries including a senior defensive leader carted off in an air cast, and a QB replaced due to a loss of confidence… OU has an SEC defense and an Iowa offense.

The scoreline for my Sooners feels like a mercy. At least it was at the hands of Josh Almighty.

I can't believe Baylor let that last second throw get caught. Then fumbled like two inches from the goal line when looking to potentially tie the game in OT; Hunter caused the fumble. Total lucky win for Colorado, bet they sneak into the Top 25 based on notoriety not performance. Fans storming the field after a win over Baylor was a bit much.

Travis Hunter is a beast.

Gotta congratulate ESPN. In their latest rankings Tennessee actually falls from 4th to 5th. I think they do this shit, just to get clicks.

I don't think the VT player completed the catch but I was surprised the refs ruled that a touchdown in real-time, guess they couldn't really tell if he retained possession the whole time. The best angle replay showed the ball was moving most of that "catch". Also, isn't laying on another player/teammate who is out of bounds also make said player out of bounds?

Yes. The only thing the refs got right was reversing the original call for a TD. I was shocked that they actually had the balls to reverse it.

Texas hurting themselves with penalties, turnovers, and bad offensive tempo but up 21-6 now. Arch Manning's footwork and pocket awareness is exceptional. We're looking at a future number one pick.

Ok, i am new to college football but what the feck is that tank of QB for UCF, holy shit

A fun day in the SEC already. It seems there was some substance to the practice hype around this Hawkins kid; we’ll need to see him behind a healthy OL and throwing to OU’s top 5 WRs who are currently out to get a better read on him.

Game of the decade going on in Alabama. Never seen anything like this between teams ranked this high.

Made no sense for Georgia to go for two after cutting to 33-21. Take the point knowing you're still a touchdown+2-pt and field goal from tie. Instead, you miss the 2-pt conversion attempt and it changes the outcome down 12 vs 11. And seeing how Georgia scored twice thereafter, they'd have pulled to 29-33 and gone up 36-33. Which means that last drive would be for the win not the tie down 40-36 (Bama doesn't go for 2 at 39-36). Ultimately doesn't matter now seeing as Beck floated an interception in the end zone.

Does Beck tend to float his passes this often? That's recipe for getting benched in the NFL.

Even though the commentators tried to make out that Beck was outstanding in the 2nd half, (he wasn't, he just did what a supposed top QB is expected to do), he definitely cost Georgia the game.

Looks like he throws it up to let the receiver come back to it or use their height to bring in the passes. Might be just planned that way against smaller dbs. If it was mistakes on his part then it doesn’t bode well going forward if he wants to be an NFL player.

Damn that Ryan Williams TD, 75 yards in one play to answer  Looks like a special talent.

Just watching the highlights now. There was an interception as the end of the 2nd quarter that was really poor too. Threw a weak pass into three Georgia players.

The final Ryan Williams TD was appalling defending by UGA. Julian Humphrey and KJ Bolden are both 5 star players and allowed a 17 year old freshman to make a fool out of them.

Stunning play from a special talent though. The catch, adjustment, cut and then most of all the impressive acceleration near the sideline, surely already a contender for play of the year given the game and circumstances.

They should’ve probably got the first down and milked another 3 minutes off the clock

Thought the 2 minute ‘warning’ was going to save Bama and give them a relatively straightforward GW drive scenario; these 1st downs allowed are a killer though. .
