Good news re: the APT transactions.
The whole thing needs resolution now, as it’s becoming pretty rotten on both sides of the fence - from a fan / interested parties perspective. Some of the wild takes re: the implication’s of the * manager’s extension in here and, the conspiracy theories amongst some of *’s fans for example.
Football has been digging its own greedy hole since the PL kicked off, but feels like it’s at a tipping point. When it ceases to deliver the excitement what does it become?
My concern, irrespective of *, is that opportunities are missed to prevent football losing its soul. The antics of infantino and some of the recent WC awards suggest we might already be too far gone.
Football will continue whatever the outcome and the tipping point will be a personal. I’ll be conflicted, I can’t see myself loving the game any more but I think I’d struggle to abandon my club.

The bit about shareholder loans doesn’t really impact them. Access to the database for comparisons on deals + more access to appeal verdicts on APT will suit them.
Whether they’re guilty or not I don’t think they’re long for the PL. Seems inevitable that some sort of new league is formed.

There was something about the timing of Saudi going into Newcastle, then the 115 charges dropping on City, after everyone had thought nothing would be done after the UEFA case.
This is 100% me guessing/a theory I have made up. However, I wouldn't be surprised if Saudi are greasing a lot of hands to kill the UAE's (a regional geopolitical rival) biggest sport washing entity.
Chelsea and Everton voted with the other 14. The three to vote with City were Forest, Villa and Newcastle.

Doubt it. They’re getting the World Cup, they’re getting a lot of tournaments, everything is lining up quite nicely for them. I’d assume that they fancy as little focus as possible on state owned clubs. Manchester City getting shit would reflect badly on clubs with similar ownerships, aka Newcastle. If anything, i’d say they’re trying to not rock the boat but rather sit still and see what Manchester City end up doing. Their interests are aligned in terms of APT, but Newcastle aren’t being very vocal about it.

So they cant do it now, they wont be too happy about that and will probably be duscussing taking further legal action with their legal team and their fellow cartel clubs.
A bit of a red flag for me here is that this has become a bit of a partisan issue. Currently there are 4 team voting with City and 16 against.
It’s really not difficult to imagine a scenario where 3 more teams are picked up by oligarchs with the single purpose of creating a 7 strong voting block that can block these sort of rule changes.

I don't see how this can be viewed as anything other than really bad news for anyone who was holding out hope that City will be duly punished for the 115

This is City - I wouldnt be surprised if they started sponsoring Championship sides under the table - and when they get promoted to the P.L - City will in return ask them to vote the same way they do

This is too far along for them to start doing that now.
I think they should be more strict on buy-ins by these investment funds that are funded by multiple different people, City's owner alledgedly has investments in and investment fund that owns part of Aston Villa and one that owns part of Liverpool.
