City and Financial Doping | Charged by PL with 130 FFP breaches | Hearing begins 16th Sep 2024 | Concluded 9th Dec 2024 - Awaiting outcome

Odds on passing?

Surely, these sportwashing nations will put massive pressure on the officials to not approve.

Or perhaps they come to some underhanded agreement where 51% of the club mysteriously sold to XYZ while the nation retains <49% or less, even though XYZ is just another front of sorts, or a business partner in cahoots with.

They let Newcastle's owners take over on the understanding it wasn't a state owned job.
So f they couldn't prove it then, how could they now?

They could abolsutely prove it then but they were most likely pressured by Bojo and his band of morons otherwise known as the British government of the time.

They've struggled to bring City to trial over absolutely outrageous shenanigans, so i can't imagine they'll be able to chase out City and Newcastle owners anytime tis lifetime.

They would need government help was my point.

At the very least it should be easy enough to get a ban on any future states ownership over the line.

Hopefully they keep delaying this verdict until the summer.

Don't want them being able to take the points deduction this season which has already got away from them.

Sorry to put a dampener on things this morning after getting back to winning ways but just thought I’d share this. One of our lot was telling me last night that he heard on Sunday from someone at Anfield that 50-odd charges have fallen away but they’re going to find against us on some of the others, and we’re getting a 40 point deduction. Now if this “someone” was a random bloke, then obviously I wouldn’t even be giving it the time of day, let alone posting it on here. However, we all know or have at least heard of this “someone” - who I won’t name but I’m sure some will be able to work out who it is - and he told my mate that he’d heard this from a contact “high up at the club”.

I bet he was banned instantly for being a rag.

40 point deduction after cheating for a decade and amassing 8 titles and a treble ffs any city fan would bite your hand of for that

I bet he was banned instantly for being a rag.

That's been the general reaction from other Bluemoon posters;

One of the maddest aspects of this is that most City fans think they are completely innocent of all charges!

35 of the charges are for failing to co-operate!

My prediction is that the penalty when announced is painted as being “unprecedented” and “extremely harsh” and City will brief the press that they are “extremely disappointed” and reject the charges in principle but have no choice but to accept them ultimately.

The penalty will be an accumulation of point deductions which the Premier League are “powerless” to do anything other than apply at once, meaning they are all spent in a single season. How many is arbitrary but it will leave them relegated with 0, -10, -100, -1000 points.

That will then leave them free to get promoted and continue as if nothing happened from the following season.

Civil action will then be taken by their rivals for compensation over the last decade. City will threaten to wrap any club that tries it in expensive legal proceedings and ultimately it will be handled as a class action lawsuit with City agreeing to pay a flat rate compensation to all clubs in return for the whole episode to be put to bed and everyone will continue as if nothing happened.

If they are still going through the closing stages then they cant possibly have made a decision on any of the charges yet (other than any that may have been dismissed during the hearing) and thus cant have decided the punishment for any of them.

Yup this is all it’ll be. An “unprecedented” point reduction (say 40) a “massive” fine (anything up to 40 million let’s say?) and a transfer ban for next season. All very meh considering they cheated their way to repeated success. They have one crap year where they probably still make the EL and win it and then back to shady business as usual. They are win at all cost feckers who pushed the boundaries in every way possible and I fully expect them to be doing the same legally behind the scenes. It’s way beyond cheating.

Pep held up 6 fingers as we all know after losing to Liverpool and was asked if he was similar to Mourinho, to which he replied "No, he won 3 I won 6", Mourinho has now responded in his typical hollywood fashion (Which I love) by saying "Guardiola said something about me... he won six trophies and I won three, but I won fairly and cleanly, if I lost, I want to congratulate my opponent because he was better than me. I don't want to win by dealing with 150 court cases."

How likely is it that they’d be stripped of their titles and those titles be awarded to the runner-ups?
