Christiano Ronaldo - NO current rumors

Anyone else thinks that due to his personality Ronaldo will have serious problems accepting that no club in a competitive league will want to give him a fat contract when his ability finally declines hard (No, I don't think it did yet, I mean several years from now) ?

I kind of can't see him playing in the USA or China.
 
I think this is the time he finally leaves Madrid. Crazy as it sounds, I can’t see any big European club going for him at this point in his career. It’s a risk considering his price tag and salary, when signs of his decline are finally showing.

I’d take him back for an extreme cut price, there’s no guarantee he’d be a success here again.
 
Well, if Alexis signs he will probably get the number 7, no way Ronaldo would take another number, that in itself closes the matter.
 
Can't be after a new contract as his contract runs out in 2021. Ronaldo won't return to United, but @SirAF are you starting to believe that this is the year?

A dream that we can go one year without these 'Ronaldo coming home' rumors.
 
Every year, eh? Would be reluctant to take him back at this point, not had a great season so splashing money on him wouldn't really be good business.
 
Off to PSG with Neymar going the other way imo. Don’t see anyone else wanting him for transfer fee and wages involved. Either that or China
 
At his age, the cost of it wouldn't be worthwhile. Maybe he is just looking for a way out of Real and one last big contract.

Why will PSG do such a terrible move ? Getting a 33 years old player on the decline and getting rid of one of the best players in the world at his 25 ? They didn't pay 222m to sell him to Madrid next season, Nasser isn't like that.

He's just using our name to either get a new contract or force Madrid to get some new shiny players to help him score again or both.

2 years contract wasn't so bad.

He's still one of the most marketable face on earth, still quality even on decline.

We probably pays half of his salary while the other half we'd recoup somewhere from the brand growth.

I'm not saying it's profitable and foolproof, but 2 years of him for free wasn't such a bad deal.

But we know how this will end up, he's just gonna squeeze that extra 2 years from Madrid and probably retire into the sunset

How has he been mate? Has the whole team dipped in form or is Ronaldo bad this season?
 
The annual Ronaldo homecoming story usually pops up during summer, not during January...

Would only take him on a free, he's in decline.

Probably down to this alleged Perez promising a review of his salary. Messi has upped his salary and Ronnie has just won player of the year, won them the world club cup. He demands to paid as one of the top earners but has slipped down the ranks. Trouble is league form has put this in doubt.

Ronaldo would have to really break ranks and take a huge paycut. Can only seem him staying there while winding down his playing time unless some big offer from China or US comes in. Don't see him, his wife and four kids turning up in Manchester.
 
I can see him leaving this summer. There's literally nothing more for him to accomplish there and he may want a change of scenery for his kid.

Both, but his inability to finish has been a big part of the reason for our results so far

Wherever he goes, he would have to restructure his contract to make it plausible for the buying club to deal with his wages.
 
I think there is some meat on this report. I think Ronaldo himself wants to come "home", he always had it as an option in the back of his mind and now that everything has gone to shit at Real. He is pondering his next move. Has already asked that his price tag be something reasonable for a player his age, 100M. If it was the Ronaldo of last season, would we really be as fast to say no? I hope, its due to lack of interest and not falling off the cliff because he should have 3 more good years in him for someone of his conditioning.

However, Kroos would be a better addition especially if we get Sanchez. Someone with Matic is badly needed as I foresee, Sanchez being a big hit should he come here.
