Not really. If we get Alexis we'll have a new number 7 and one worthy of the shirt. Ronaldo is an amazing goalscorer and I think he'll go as long as Ibra has at the top level. However, teams are about more than stars. You need a system and the players that suit it: round pegs in round holes.

At 33 though? At 33, his career is nearly over. It's a financial risk, and Eds background is an investment banker. No way he takes a risk for a very popular footballer who's reaching the end of his career. It's nonsensical.

You would think Ed and the United board learned something from giving Rooney a 6 year high-wage contract at the beginning of the Moyes term. And Rooney wasn’t even 33. No chance he is coming, unless it’s a 1-2 year deal and loooowwww transfer fee. Even then, he doesn’t fit our team.

It's not. He's on the downslide, would make us pay through the nose in wages, and will take the spot of one of the young players we have invested a lot of time and money in. And frankly he doesn't deserve to come to us after the amount of times he's shamelessly used our name to fill his pockets.

Thats true. Well, with Ronaldo, I think he kind of does write his own headlines. Look at last summer.. He was finished with Perez and Madrid etc.. And any time the contract talks come or anything that happens it's always Man Utd. It's Jorge Mendes doing that and Ronaldo is letting him.
