Oh, this again
I have a dream.
A dream that we can go one year without these 'Ronaldo coming home' rumors.
Harry Kane is scoring goals like there's no tomorrow in this league. Imagine how good Ronaldo would be as a centre forward.
As is Ronaldo as a goalscorer, a tier above if I may say so. Put him in the current Spurs team and he'll smash loads.Harry Kane is really fecking good.

Was. I am not sure if he would still be smashing loads. Madrid are creating plenty of chances despite not winning games. However, Ronaldo is neither creating them nor getting on the end of them.As is Ronaldo as a goalscorer, a tier above if I may say so. Put him in the current Spurs team and he'll smash loads.
I'm not? Do you think Kane is a better goalscorer than Ronaldo?Stop trolling
Sure he's not getting any younger but he's got insane fitness and this is most likely a form issue and less an age one. This entire Madrid team looks lost, a fresh challenge can do wonders and there's definitely a last chapter left in him in my opinion.Was. I am not sure if he would still be smashing loads. I doubt United officials feel disrespected, Ronaldo and Manchester United on the same title generate a lot of interest and clicks and that means sponsors are willing to pay more for the club. It's all part of the game, I doubt we're pissed at Ronaldo anymore than we're pissed at 500 players linked with us every transfer window.I love Ronaldo, but I can't help finding this whole "If you don't give me what I want, I will go back to Man Utd" thing, feels disrespectful to us to think we are just sat staring out the window waiting for Cristiano to come back, times have changed, I wouldn't want him now, the circus needs to end, and quickly.

Err. That's considering the amount of top years Kane has left in him, I'm talking about their current ability. Bizarre argument. Why do you think Real Madrid are looking to sell Ronaldo for 100M and sign Kane somewhere north of 200M? Because they're stupid and want to lose 100M to get a worse player?. If his own team didn't consider Kane an improvement over present day Ronaldo they'd just milk every goal from Cris while profiting from his marketing value.

Kane has been a considerably better goalscorer this season, but as to the overall point, fair enough.I'm not? Do you think Kane is a better goalscorer than Ronaldo?

Fitness aside(and he looks no worse than last spring imho), he's got quite a number of potential distractions going on atm. The trial for tax fraud, the contract situation, newborn kids at home, etc...
Maybe all he needs is a change of scenery, or maybe this is just a bad patch and he'll go back to score for fun soon
Either way, he's still about to turn 33 and his demands to be put on equal terms with Messi in wages look insane atm. Would only half make sense if he accepted a considerably shorter contract...
Think the tax case coming out right after Cardiff kind of screwed him up in that sense btw. We could not be made to look as if we were paying for his tax evasion at the time...
I don't understand this train of thought, if everyone in the club is talking about him being the best player in the world and trusted him with a long contract to secure at least a transfer fee in the future, I don't get how he demanding to be in the same wage bracket as the players his club say are inferior to him is insane.
Imagine if he comes back. Next season Ronaldo playing for utd and a certain rooney for everton.
Caf seems torn on this one
It's your train of thought that's incomprehensible to me, not @giorno's. "Best player in world" is a transient thing, not a permanent one. A contract has a duration and even if Ronaldo is the best player in the world currently (very debatable) this contract would take him into an age where the probability of him still being that is very very small. You're talking as if players play on forever and their transfer value does not go to literally 0 by the time they get to mid 30s.
