Christian Falk: Bayern make Thiago, Bernat, Vidal and Boateng available for transfer

Aye 'Welcome to Manchester City'

Thiago ship has sailed unfortunately.

Honestly, don't think that's too bad tbh. I've watched him just once this season but Bayern fans don't seem to rate him very highly.

Thiago is easily our best midfielder. I would go as far as saying he’s our best outfield player. His only issue are injuries. If he should become available, which I’m afraid he will, whoever picks him up will land a steal. Like Real did with Kroos.
If I were you, I’d be all over Thiago. If he’s really leaving, I hope he joins a team were the fans actually watch games with their eyes open. Maybe he’ll get the appreciation he deserves then.
He’s never been rated appropriately while with us. Germans just can’t stand flair players. In addition to that, he’s Pep‘s purchase and for reasons I’ll never understand, that seems to be a bad thing for many.

I know. I was just so invested in that saga at that time. I think we all were and to be honest I still would love to see him at O.T.

Mee too mate. I think it's because after all the years of "no value in the market" from SAF, Moyes started chasing every top footballer on the market.

Are people still thinking he (Thiago)was the player he was all those years ago? Do they not remember the horrendous injury he got? He has not been the same player and I think he averaged less than 20 games per season as a result.

Buyern don’t let anyone go at that profile unless they are crocked. This could easily be another Hargreaves

I dont want any of those players here.. Boateng is shot, Vidal drunk and Thiago doesn't even bother ..

His 16/17 campaign might have been the best of any midfielder out there. In CL and League combined, he appeared in 35 games and was fully fit throughout. That earned him a whoscored rating of 8.28 for the league and 7.79 for the champions league, both sensational ratings. If I recall correctly, that made him the third best rated player in the world.
His defensive contribution is brilliant, by the way. He led Europe in interceptions that season.
If it wasn’t for the injuries, he’d be widely regarded as one of the very best midfielders around. And even with the injuries, he‘d still be a valuable asset to every club there is.

Should stay well clear of Boateng and his injuries. If we want a CB, we must sign Toby.

I'd take either Thiago or Vidal. If City want the former, we don't stand a chance. Vidal would be a good option to replace Fellaini if he was got on the cheap and not huge wages.

Fred & Vidal would certainly set our midfield.

Well that, and consistency. He's great on his day, but he can be just as atrocious when he's not. Comparisons with Kroos are not justified, as Toni was indeed carrying the team for long spells in 2011/12 already. Toni is like clockwork, always been, and I was absolulely fuming when our board refused to realize that. The same cannot be said about Thiago, he's been hit and miss since he joined us.
All in all, I like this news, because it means we're planning for a major infusion of fresh blood for our squad. The current lot, as I see it, has been together for a long time, a time which has seen a lot of set backs and disappointing season outcomes.

Has Thiago even been that good, it’s not like he’s been talked about since moving there. Don’t know if anyone watches him on a regular basis. He seemed a passager against Madrid.

He tends to need a few games to get back in form, when he was injured. I give you that. But otherwise, when being fit, he’s consistent. No problems whatsoever. You just have to keep him fit. The question for those interested is, wether or not you can keep him fit. Our medical staff is absolutely horrendous. A team with a more competent staff might make him a world star. Thinking about what he did in 16/17, I’d be willing to risk it.

Otherwise, I’m all for changes. But not like this. Once Thiago would be gone, there would be no creativity in midfield besides James. Also, there would not be a single midfielder who’s good at dribbling. We just can’t afford to lose the type of player he is.
Vidal, Bernat, Lewa, Martínez or Boateng can all move. But with Thiago I really doubt that we can find a better alternative. I think we could get burned badly on that one.

It was such a shame. When for he was the best at his role or right up there.

Nah, the only he thing he had going for him was workrate. The only reason why he could sell him for such a high sum (for the time) was his British passport.

Just read this morning, that we're interested in Fekir. We won't be selling our players without getting replacements. That I'm sure of.

I‘m not sure of that at all. I don’t trust our management at the moment. I‘m extremely nervous, heading into the new season.

I'd pay whatever they wanted for Thiago, and Boateng would be a nice addition too. I hope to high heaven that Pep doesn't make a serious attempt to get Thiago, because he probably would go to City and help them dominate the league for years to come.

Not interested in the others, but I think Thiago could be worth a punt even if he hasn't been on fire in the BL. Sign him quick before Pep gets him. Do a thorough medical though, we don't need another Hargreaves.

According to Bayern/German fans, Pep benched him continuously in the biggest games.

I don't think he rates Thiago that much as we all think.

Sign him up Jose. Another Pep despising player might just do nicely after Zlatan left. :D

If Thiago is available, Pep will sign him without a doubt. Nobody else stands a chance. The same applies to Isco. These players will always prefer to play for Pep.

Some reports swore that Fabregas would prefer to join Pep at Bayern back then. But he went for the boring Mourinho instead. Same thing about Alexis in January and where is he now?

De Gea
Double D - Boateng - Alderweireld - Sandro
Matic
Fred - Pogba
Alcantara
Alexis - Lukaku

The irony of people demanding Martial and Rashford get more games all season and then the moment Bayern are supposedly selling a few players, they're thrown aside for players United are unlikely to ever sign (unless they're ageing and no longer worth the fee).

Fecking hell Thiago would be a great signing. Boateng too while we’re at it.

Are Bayern fecked financially or something? I keep hearing players for sale and no big signings this summer.
It really maybe to fund bale?

@fcbforever really let rip into Thiago yesterday. According to him most Bayern fans feel the same way. I was surprised by that but I have to admit the only time I watched him play this season was the 2nd leg against Real so can't really argue with someone who watches him week in and week out.

are Thiago and Boateng not injury prone ? we have enough problems keeping our current crop fit. Vidal i think that ship has sailed shouldnt be going for him for me.

No thanks. I’m tired of us being linked to players other big clubs don’t want anymore. We are the biggest club in the world, we should be looking at players that the other big clubs also want. We need players that wouldn’t look out of place in Reals, Barcas or Bayerns team. How are we gonna beat them if we are buying the players they don’t want anymore. It honestly sometimes feels like we are a second tier team. Like how smaller teams will buy our players that are not good enough for us, but those teams don’t expect to compete with us. Sorry for the rant, but it just irks me seeing all the big names rumoured to other teams and us being linked to not top players.

He has all the tools to be great but its not.

If i was playing amateur football(pelada)with my friends i would pick him first though.

I wouldn’t do business with Bayern. I don’t trust them one bit, they have fecked us over in the past, people want to go back for a third bite.

Like sir Alex said “typical Germans”

They were similarly harsh on Douglas Costa who I'd have here anyway. If Thiago is a possibility I'd definitely go after him, he'd be perfect between Matic and Pogba combining the defensive qualities of Herrera with the playmaking abolities he unfortunately lacks.

The only hesitation would be down to his injury record but I'd feel comfortable using Herrera or Pereira as his deputees.

He also said similar about Southampton when they sold Bale behind our back...sure we have dealt with them since albeit he wasn't our manager....

I'd be very happy, if were to sign Thiago.

Pjanic and Verratti for comparison

That's actually largely how teams like Juventus and Bayern, two of the more succesful clubs in europe in the recent times have made their fortunes isn't it?
