Christian Falk: Bayern make Thiago, Bernat, Vidal and Boateng available for transfer

'Wir sehen uns in Manchester'

Thiago off to City the cnut!

According to Bayern/German fans, Pep benched him continuously in the biggest games.

I don't think he rates Thiago that much as we all think.

Oh, that's interesting, wasn't aware. He feels like a natural heir to Silva though.

Hopefully we are in for Thiago but if Bayern wants big fee for these injury prone players then hopefully we stay well clear of them.

For a good enough fee, Thiago would be superb signing.

The only one I'd be interested in is Vidal and that's only if he was on the cheap.

Of course. But that being a contract dispute kind of sets that out on its own maybe?
He was offered back to Barca and they wouldn't take him back so there must be something we:re not seeing.

Thiago? That's really interesting. I've always thought of him as the one that got away at Barca and that he would be the heartbeat of their midfield now if he had stayed.

If Barca don't want him back there must be something else there.

Silva's decision making about when to release the ball is streets ahead of Thiago. Apart from Messi, don't think there's another player as good as Silva at that.

If Thiago is available, Pep will sign him without a doubt. Nobody else stands a chance. The same applies to Isco. These players will always prefer to play for Pep.

City briefed they wouldn't take Isco even if he was available so I'm not sure they'll take Thiago.

How did Bernat do last season? Wouldn't be a bad option on the left, and cheap one too it seems.

Well actually Isco prefers to play for Zidane who is the superior Baldy manager at the moment.

No chance we will sign any of these, we are as slow and ponderous in the transfer market as we are on the field of play.

They played Rakitic, declining Busquets and Iniesta who retired against Roma. If they can, they will bring him back. They just won't pay over the top imo.

Much rather the approach of working on deals for months up to the start of the window than knee jerking when a big name becomes available.

None of these players would be good signings for us.

Edit and that’s actually bollocks anyway. Just look at our signings over the last few years. We know how to get deals done, whether they’re the perfect choice is the issue.

Would be an improvement over Young and the current Shaw (Who one has to now assume is near his peak despite the huge hopes we had). Of those 4 he might be the one that makes the most sense, a proper fullback who can cross.

 This. If we are signing Thiago its been in the works for a while. I don't see us getting him on a whim unless he's £25m or something like that.

I am pretty sure we set our transfer plans long before and we won't change it, especially for the players that probably weren't even considered. As much as I love Thiago as a player and want him here.

That's true, though I think all except Bernat would get into our team. Boateng for example is an upgrade on what we've got and may be cheaper than Alderweireld, especially if they are listing him as 'for sale'.

I'm sure we have good targets lined up, but you base these on who you think is attainable. If Bayern don't want to sell a player, they won't. You have be able to adapt where proven quality becomes available.

Yeah proper age too. Didn't play much last season at Bayern, would love him here if we don't get Sandro.

If we're in for an experienced centerback, then Boateng would be a no brainer surely? Better than Alderweireld and probably cheaper too.
Not better in my opinion but definitely cheaper

So, it seems like Pjanic, Modric, Thiago, and maybe Erissen are somewhat available (rumors of course). Between them, which one we should get if we can?

Boateng is class but a crock so steer clear. I'd be all over the other 3. Thiago for a starting midfielder and still buy Fred. Vidal for a better backup/rotation and same for Bernat. It's a no brainer.

I'd still then buy a RB, starting LB and someone like Bale for the wings. Take the bloody hit on the transfers this season, shift some deadwood and then we won't have to spend as much the following transfer window. Basically do what City did last summer.

Isn't Vidal essentially just a 31 year old alcoholic with no knees at this point?

I'd steer clear of him and go for Boateng (probably still the best around (if he's fit)) and Thiago.
His knees are fine, his head isn’t!

I followed @fcbforever yesterday and he mentioned that Bayern fans would love to see the back of him. His attitude kind of stinks these days and is often found to be a passenger in big games. Is a bit injury prone too. He doesn't start any big games either. Bayern are getting Goretzka and are better off giving him first team opportunities rather than Thiago.

All this might be true but Thiago is still a level above whatever we have. Please Woody make it happen!

Don’t know where that was, you might need to dig through Balus post, but we had a discussion about him with a few more (but similar) opinions last week on him. Arsenal player, as Balu said. Can imagine him ending up there to be honest.

Bernat wants to play more but won’t (and isn’t good enough defensively), so it was clear he would leave. As for Boateng: I would be sad to see him leave, probably my all time favorite Bayern defender. But his injury record can’t be ignored and Süle has stepped up massively. Also, Kovac apparently wants to bring in Wimmer so he can play a three man defensive line, so it’s only natural that we will listen to good offered.

We should honestly go for Vidal. We need his aggressive type on our midfield. Rumours among some Munich fans are that Boateng is heading for City again.

Its becoming clear that Bernat is a winger. He’s regressed as a defender and had his few good games as a backup for Coman.

Omg is this true? I am a huge fan of Thiago! One of my favourite midfielders currently! Can be inconsistent but at his best he is world-class. Pay whatever it takes to get him!

I would probably still choose Alderweireld over Boateng but if Levy is playing hardball with Toby, then we may as well go for Boateng.

Vidal I would have liked 2-3 years ago. Would only take him if he came on the cheap without affecting our summer transfer budget.

Thiago hasn't been all that at Bayern as far as I know and many Bayern fans would be happy to see him go.
