Thiago off to City the cnut!
Thiago off to City the cnut!
According to Bayern/German fans, Pep benched him continuously in the biggest games.
I don't think he rates Thiago that much as we all think.
Of course. But that being a contract dispute kind of sets that out on its own maybe?
He was offered back to Barca and they wouldn't take him back so there must be something we:re not seeing.
Silva's decision making about when to release the ball is streets ahead of Thiago. Apart from Messi, don't think there's another player as good as Silva at that.Oh, that's interesting, wasn't aware. He feels like a natural heir to Silva though.
If Thiago is available, Pep will sign him without a doubt. Nobody else stands a chance. The same applies to Isco. These players will always prefer to play for Pep.

Thiago? That's really interesting. I've always thought of him as the one that got away at Barca and that he would be the heartbeat of their midfield now if he had stayed.
If Barca don't want him back there must be something else there.
No chance we will sign any of these, we are as slow and ponderous in the transfer market as we are on the field of play.
Would be an improvement over Young and the current Shaw (Who one has to now assume is near his peak despite the huge hopes we had). Of those 4 he might be the one that makes the most sense, a proper fullback who can cross. How did Bernat do last season? Wouldn't be a bad option on the left, and cheap one too it seems.
Much rather the approach of working on deals for months up to the start of the window than knee jerking when a big name becomes available.
None of these players would be good signings for us.
You just know that the bald prick will sign Thiago.

That's true, though I think all except Bernat would get into our team. Boateng for example is an upgrade on what we've got and may be cheaper than Alderweireld, especially if they are listing him as 'for sale'.Much rather the approach of working on deals for months up to the start of the window than knee jerking when a big name becomes available.

Yeah proper age too. Didn't play much last season at Bayern, would love him here if we don't get Sandro.Would be an improvement over Young and the current Shaw (Who one has to now assume is near his peak despite the huge hopes we had). Not better in my opinion but definitely cheaperIf we're in for an experienced centerback, then Boateng would be a no brainer surely? Better than Alderweireld and probably cheaper too.
His knees are fine, his head isn’t!Isn't Vidal essentially just a 31 year old alcoholic with no knees at this point?
I'd steer clear of him and go for Boateng (probably still the best around (if he's fit)) and Thiago.
I followed @fcbforever yesterday and he mentioned that Bayern fans would love to see the back of him. His attitude kind of stinks these days and is often found to be a passenger in big games. Is a bit injury prone too. He doesn't start any big games either. Bayern are getting Goretzka and are better off giving him first team opportunities rather than Thiago.
All this might be true but Thiago is still a level above whatever we have. Please Woody make it happen!

So, it seems like Pjanic, Modric, Thiago, and maybe Erissen are somewhat available (rumors of course). Between them, which one we should get if we can?
