Another top class player that would improve us immensely gone to another club. I know only rumours but can see this happening

I am glad he signed with Chelsea. I don't rate him at all and at least there won't be any Fab saga this summer.

There's no fecking hope we're ever gonna get a midfielder of his quality for 30m.. getting real tired of these transfer feck ups.

Tragic if we have missed out on him. We desperately need a player like him, amongst several others.

If 33m is indeed the fee, I fecking give up. How come Chelsea can just swoop in and land him, yet we tried multiple times and were told to go do one?

Don't think we wanted him, LVG will have his own plans for the team and he'll have his own targets, relax, by the end of Summer we'll have a few new signings. Will they be good? We'll have to wait until next season to find out.

Presumably we went in a year too early? They weren't willing to sell last summer but they are now.

Fabregas signs for Chelsea for a fee cheaper than we paid for Fellaini.

Just think about that.

Moyes must be fuming! I think Fabregas is probably quite enamored by the idea of playing for Chelsea to be honest.

Because they know what they are doing. Woodward hasn't got a scooby.

At least this time we won't have to listen to the obligatory "Since I was a boy, I've dreamed of playing for the Red Devils of Manchester City" speech.

33 million euros is less than £27 million right? does not seem legit that's he'd move for that.

That's the legendary Arsenal release clause fee but it's not us. There was a meeting of the Arsenal Supporters Trust with our CEO and other directors and apparently they confirmed we've got to 'think emotionlessly about transfers.'

Plus add ons apparently, you lot sure don't mess about with transfers these days! What brilliant business if that's true, I find it shocking that van Gaal would decline the chance to sign him for that price....unless we did want him and he would simply rather join Chelsea. Amazed Arsenal would turn him down too, a player of Fabregas quality for less than £30m in this market? Crazy.

How many of you need to be told van Gaal didn't want Fabregas before realising Woodward is not at fault here?

I really hope we showed interest and at least tried to sign him, otherwise I seriously doubt this club's ambition. I can't see anybody of Fabregas' quality being available anywhere else. Fair enough if we end up signing somebody like Vidal, Kroos, Koke instead, in that case our lack of interest would make sense. But I sincerely doubt any of those are heading here. If Chelsea end up with Fabregas and we end up Clasie this summer, I will have a major fit:lol:

I hate to break it to you guys but I suspect if he doesn't sign for you it's because of no CL.

It strikes me as if United have saved face by getting in there early to say they're not interested when actually the rejection is the other way round.
