This cesc saga is hilarious, 'journalists' and consequently the Betting companies have absolutely no idea what's going on, Chelsea are strong favourites now and City have dropped to 4th, over the last 72 hours Arsenal, Utd, Chelsea and City have all been favourites.

Chelsea favourites now? Haven't followed it too much since Saturday but surprised at that. Would send Arsenal fans even into more outrage than if he signed for us, but him and Costa would probably win Chelsea the league at a canter next year.

Calling it - he won't leave Barca. At least not this summer.

Fabregas is wearing red as well. Definitely not a coincidence.

Well Spain wear red, fair enough, but lets not let that dampen the muppetry.

So it's United v. Chelsea then? I'm choosing to believe the "Van Gaal not interested in Fabregas" stories were rubbish.

They discredit the entire article by saying he has a £30 million release clause. I mean, how can your job be football writer and you still write shit like that? So they put a release clause in for more or less the same price as they signed him did they? Yeah, very plausible.

The release clause could refer to a written agreement between Barcelona and Fabregas, citing he can leave for £30 million this summer. We had something similar with Heinze a few years back, when he attempted to force a move to Liverpool.

Under what circumstances would they need to have a written agreement that he can go for £30 million this summer? They signed him for that much so it makes no sense to me.

What has he done since signing for Barcelona to increase his value? He's aged, that's about it.

Aye, but that still doesn't explain why they'd put that clause in. He was desperate to go there. It's pretty obvious that no such clause exists.

If Barcelona want to sell they'd set a price, as interest does not seem that high in him I think they feel £30 million is what they can expect.

His real close is at more or less 200m.

Are we all just a bit freaked out because off the last season and under ratting our current squad.? I know we need to replace rio and vidic or our midfield is weak - but maybe van gaal is thinking off moving Rooney to midfield or he is seeing something in Fellaini or carick and fletcher pairing. Liverpool/Everton/ even Chelsea proved last season that with a good manager even a good to average squad can over achieve.
Chelsea's squad was far from average and a hell of a lot better than ours. Rooney won't move to midfield, I can guarantee you that. He's already stated he will not play in midfield, he would only consider it at a much later stage in his career.

Barca have turned him into ALF:

Can't believe how many people want this douche to sign for United.

Can't believe you have 25 posts in a transfer thread about someone you don't like, you're to the Fabregas thread what Kevin is to the Luke Shaw thread, the broken record is boring.

Not every discussion in this thread has been specifically about Fabregas.

A douche who would probably be one of the best midfielders in the league instantly, if not the best.
That is certainly debatable. If he plays like his Arse days, sure, he'd be one of the best midfielders in the league. If he keeps playing like he is right now with Barca, no way is he going to be even close to the best midfielder.
