I was muppeting in the newbs last summer, swore I wouldn't get dragged in, especially into another Fabregas saga
oh well
It's so on! I had set up camp in the Kroos thread, but I feel I may need to set up camp here instead. It's so hard to choose!!!
I'd let a load out all over the curtain in joy.How would you feel if we signed both

I honestly don't see us signing him at all, not with LVG here. We had a greater chance when Moyes was here.
Really? Is it that confusing? I don't think LVG will have any interest in him, we seem to be more interested in Kroos and I don't us getting both. I haven't seen us linked with in the English media, it's mostly in the Spanish press. Plus, we don't even know if he would come here.
I'm convinced Fab was a United target rather than a Moyes target tbh. I expect us to be in for him if hes available, whether we would sign him or not is another story. Also with LVG being here I say there would be more chance of Fab being convinced than with Moyes.
I don't think it's a case of convincing him, I don't see us being in for him if we get Kroos. Like I said, we haven't really been linked with him the English press, or any reliable source in fact.
Its been in the English press, although I wouldn't call any of the sources reliable.
I've seen the report in the Independent and also the usual crap like Mirror and DailyStar
Just like I said then. Most of the rumours are based on the fact that we were after him last summer.
It is a good comparison - both are out of your league and Kunis/Kroos are second best. Not the best comparison. Scarlett any day
There is a great chance that neither is on that list . The only one I'm certain to be on Van Gaal's list is Strootman but if by any chance Kroos is there then maybe we have a greater chance because Van Gaal as a former manager there should have ways of gauging, more accurately, if he is gettable .We've not the foggiest if Cesc is on that list of van Gaal. That's why I posted the
Thing is, it seems Kroos is on that list, but then again Kroos was on Moyes list along with Fabregas. Further, murmurs in Spain are building momentum on Cesc being available at the right price whilst on the other hand we have Kroos and Bayern who've been stead fast in saying he's not for sale. At this stage it's anyone guess I'd say.
I doubt we're getting Kroos, and if we're going by that, there's not much to suggeest that Van Gaal is a huge fan of Kroos, loaning him out when he was at Bayern.Really? Is it that confusing? I'm in lads, I think we'll be getting Kroos. Fabregas would be an ideal option to partner him, what's he like defensively? I've only ever really seen him in a purely offensive light.
So signing Kroos and Fabregas presents an opportunity to get Strootman in? Doesn't leave much for replacements for Young, Nani unless we look to Janujaz and Zaha to fill that void. Obviously in full muppet mode.I think we'd have to player 3 in midfield with a very defensive player alongside them for Kroos and Fabregas to work. Personally, I'd take Fabregas over Kroos but I think Fabregas looks more unlikely than Kroos.

He's far more defensive, and a lot quicker. He'd mop up and act as a runner/defensive midfielder.Just quickly, what kind of player is he? I haven't seen him play and am not sure. Is he a defensive player or an attacking one? For some reason I imagine him as being a similar type to Cesc and Kroos.
I haven't seen him play in a game to be honest but when we were linked a while back I was watching videos of him. Best way to describe him is a deep lying playmaker with alot of bite the personification of box to box.Just quickly, what kind of player is he? I haven't seen him play and am not sure. The TelegraphCesc Fabregas wants return to Premier League as Arsenal and Manchester United linked with Barcelona midfielder

Cesc Fabregas will consider a move to the Premier League this summer if his worst fears over his Barcelona career are confirmed.
Midfielder Fabregas is concerned that Barca will try to push him out of the exit door in a bid to overhaul their squad and offer him to former clubArsenal, Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea.
Having made Lionel Messi the world's highest-paid player on £16.3 million-a-year, and spent £71.5m to sign Neymar last summer, Barcelona need to recoup money to make major signings.
Barcelona can buy and sell players this summer after Fifa suspended its transfer ban on the club, which gives new coach Luis Enrique the chance to refresh his newly-inherited squad.
Fabregas is aware that Barca view him as one of their most saleable or tradable commodities and the Spaniard was harshly singled out for criticism from a section of fans as the club failed to win a trophy this season.
Enrique did little to calm the fears of Fabregas during his first Barcelona press conference. When asked about the future of the 27 year-old, he said: "We shouldn't make any decisions. There is time for everything."
Arsenal have a buy-back option on Fabregas that was agreed as part of the deal that saw him move back to the Nou Camp in 2011. Should he inform Barca that he wants to return to the Emirates, then Arsenal can re-sign him for around £25m.
Manager Arsene Wenger has previously claimed that Fabregas will play for Arsenal again and would no doubt be tempted to take the Spaniard back.
Fabregas earns around £100,000-a-week at Barca, which would no longer be a problem for Arsenal to match or better.
But Wenger would currently struggle to accommodate Fabregas into his team after signing Mesut Ozil from Real Madrid last summer, handing Santi Cazorla a new contract and seeing Aaron Ramsey fulfil his potential. Jack Wilshere will also be hoping to return from the World Cup in good form.
Barcelona rejected two bids from United for Fabregas last summer, but would now accept a renewed approach from the Old Trafford club. New manager Louis van Gaal appears to have a host of midfield targets in mind, however, and is hoping to sign Toni Kroos from Bayern Munich.
Fabregas was open to the idea of moving to United last summer and his representatives remained on good terms with the club's executive vice-chairman, Ed Woodward.
While Barcelona could look for straight cash deals from Arsenal and United, Fabregas is a player they can offer in exchange to both City and Chelsea.
With both clubs under Financial Fair Play pressure, City and Chelsea would be reluctant to pay big money for Fabregas.
But Yaya Toure's fall-out with City opens up the possibility of Barca offering Fabregas as part of a swap deal or trying to use the player to land Messi's Argentina team-mate Sergio Aguero.
Barca also hold a strong interest in Chelsea's David Luiz and are willing to offer Alex Song as part of a player-plus-cash deal. But Blues manager Jose Mourinho would be far more attracted to the prospect of a straight swap for Fabregas.
Mourinho has made Tottenham midfielder Paulinho a surprise summer target as he searches for a long-term replacement for Frank Lampard, but Fabregas would represent a better quality option.
Other than interest from England, Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola remains a big fan of Fabregas but the player is thought to favour the Premier League over Germany.
Fabregas first joined Arsenal as a 16 year-old from Barcelona in 2003 and spent eight years at the club, making 303 appearances and scoring 57 goals.
