Oh wow, I thought I was losing my mind when I first heard Andy Gray. A welcome addition to BT, I absolute hate Owen's voice when watching games.

Actually, it looks like the stream is coming from Bien sports so I suspect BT have bought commentary and all.

Good to hear Andy Gray during the Everton game - one of the very few commentators I can stand listening to. Good move from BT.

I don't think he's on BT. BT seem to have just bought the feed for this game from Bien where he normally commentates.

So Bien must have bought the BT stream then because he can't have done both at the same time.

Strange set up.

Just phoned BT about getting the channel. They have offered me 2 options.

1. Rolling contract at £15 per month with £15 activation charge.

2. 12 month contract with no activation charge and free HD for 3 months.

Tempted to take option 2 but what do you guys think? Is it worth committing to for 12 months?

Don't see the point in your rolling contract, as surely you are going to want it all season? But considering they are going to change everything and going to put everything up massively as of next season I'm not sure what constitutes a good deal. I'm lucky as I am with BT internet so had it for free all last season and this. BT rule the roost from next season.

I fecking hate their coverage.

The Bet 365 adverts over half the screen just before kick off, having Steve McManamanamanman as a pundit and a commentary pairing of Ian Darke and Michael Owen, it's all SHITE.

Edit: I forgot about the picture in picture bulkshit during replays, and the ridiculous amount of replays.

Michael Owen for our first game against Swansea, all he did was praise Rooney. It was quite sickening.

Having the pundits pitch side like BT do is a nice idea, but you've got to close mic them like Sky does, otherwise they'll just get drowned out by the crowd.

Owen "Its a lovely feeling when it goes through the legs" ... i bet it is...

He really annoys me with his inaccurate analysis and lack of any insight

I would not worry too much, apparently beIN Sports are lining up a bid for the rights next year in the UK so that could be very bad for BT and possibly Sky

What's our record when we're shown on BT Sport? Certainly lost/drawn more than we've won.

They try too hard with all these gimmicks such as picture in picture and cutting to the pundits.

Why is Paul Scholes obsessed with saying we "played it all through the middle" and needed width. All we did is play it out wide. It was literally the only idea we had.

Michael Owen single-handedly ruins BT Sport. His commentary is abysmal.
I like that Valencia's "crossing" surprised him. Shows how much he actually watches/understands.

On more than one occasion he also managed to have an argument with himself and completely change his view at the end. He doesn't think before he speaks, really.
