Dribbling is not the be all and end all.
Bruno is far more than just a creative/productive player. He has 3 advantages over most of his comparable peers in the PL:
1) He is much better defensively
Tackles and interceptions per 90:
Bruno: 3.2
Ødegaard: 2.1
Palmer: 1.1
De Bruyne: 1.0
2) He is a lot more involved in the game
Passes per 90:
De Bruyne: 60.2 (BIG outlier season! He's normally below 45)
Bruno: 49.7
Ødegaard: 34.5
Palmer: 34.3
3) His injury record
No need to elaborate, I hope..
I didn't say dribbling it's that, I've mentioned because it's one of the "easier" ways to loose the ball when you try a difficult move to create some space or advantage with an offensive midfielder. And I also mentioned to keep it under control, meaning to handle against oposition coming after you without instantly releasing it. Bruno does not risk some difficult passes because he always "sees" a pass or feels the urge to do sthg and help his team, he many times doesn't have the dribbling and control of others in his role to keep it. That is why is so improtant to take this in account as a team to provide him a better platfform for his style.
You are too focus in stats and for instance Bruno as much as he can steal many balls, he might create a gap while failing to do it because of not being as intelligent as other on how to move properly in such regard and command others to do so. BTW, I'm not saying that he sucks at this department, but very much like his offensive output, he put his heart on his sleeve and he indeed many times presses or tries to steal it, but not few times in a chaotic way.
Bruno more than anything needs a better management of his decisions and acknowledge better in what he is great at and in what he isn't
PD: When I'm analizying his traits, atributes and his deficiencies, I'm not just comparing with current players this season or even prior ones, but more in comparison with players in similar roles since ever. That's why the constant refference of current stats doesn't help to get what I'm talking about and never paints the whole picture for any player, on any role.
