I’m absolutely fuming with Bruno tonight.

He’s the club captain and senior pro. To get such a ridiculous and clumsy second booking less than five minutes in to the second half whilst playing in their third of the pitch is completely and utterly braindead. What a terrible example to set.

His disciplinary record this season is awful and even if you query the first card, and some of the others this season, at what point does the player himself realise he’s on a tightrope and act accordingly?

Away from home with a ref giving nothing. feck off Bruno.

And you'd 'rather see us smacked than see him play'?
aah it was that part that you were talking about, I thought you meant the part where I said Bruno is a terrible player.

alright, I take that back, let's agree that Bruno is a shit player, and I never want to see Bruno play for us, and I never want to see us lose.

We should cash out if the saudis are still interested. He has been awful for years now. We can't build a future around him.

I think Bruno’s time is up as captain. We need a leader not a moaner. No idea who will replace though in this current squad.

He'll be out in 5 minutes apologising and some will lap it up.

The thing is, what's the point in apologising if you choose to not learn your lesson?

3 red cards this season, as erratic as ever and the club captain of our worst side since the 70s. At 30 he's past the point of changing.

Think it's sad that so many people will rewrite history about his time at United based on his bad run of play. For years now he was far & away our only good player who gave it everything. It's pathetic for the fanbase to turn on him so quick

He will be remembered as United captain during the worst period in the club's last 40 years.

And as the biggest flat track bully in football. Withered in every game that we weren't cruising to a win at Old Trafford.

Fecking idiot. Team coming under criticism with a coach desperately trying to get results and he does that two minutes into the half. Just about tired of him.

Yep I'm done with him now he can go.

Moan moan moan, 50 yard pass into row z, moan moan moan, get sent off.

Bruno Fernandes, ladies and gents.

I have never actively disliked the character of one of our own players more than I dislike Bruno. Every time I see him rolling around on the floor or whingeing at the referee I feel my blood boiling.

Pedantic first yellow card, he only committed that foul because Cunha was unplayable and was turning our players inside out. Not fit to be a captain at all.

Him and Rashford are only suited to inshallah-ball. They're the main reason all our ex-managers stick to that style of football. The challenge as always is to mitigate the drop in performances while changing tracks, and at this moment we're doing a terrible job.

I have Bruno's name on one of my kits (back when he was 18) but he's not a good enough captain.

He's rubbish and needs to be sold.

Can't play either side of the 10 with wingbacks and can't play in the middle for a double pivot.

He has no use in this system.

Even before the red card .....that was not the performance of a man utd player let alone a man utd captain.
(keano n robbo will be squirming in their seats)

it's been pointed out by enough people....FFS he is not going to take united to the promised land.
Eriksen, Zirkzee, Mainoo for the other 10 position along side Amad.
but Bruno fan boys keep on spamming stats.
the real eyes realise !!

btw I don't hate Bruno the man,
Its Bruno the man utd player that frustrates me to the edge of insanity.

C'mon Ruben do the right thing for the team.

If you ever wonder how we managed to turn into a lower-mid table level club so quickly... Remind yourself that we made Bruno captain, let him stay as captain after multiple shambolic performances, and then gave him a giant new contract even though no other club is interested in him.

His personal fanclub always lose their minds over criticism, but this guy is so shit with the ball at his feet he cant even contribute to keeping possession against clubs on Wolves and Southamptons level. And when you need your captain to keep a level head, what does he do? What does he always do?
Agree completely. But hey we all know the regular names that will come in here and deflect everything

He tries too hard and has no obvious role in the new formation. It’s sad to see.

I will never turn on any player who fights for the badge though and say what you want about him but he puts it all in.

Football intelligence was an issue again because a smart player does not get the first yellow. The second is a result of circumstances, he was sold short and went for the ball but was late. Not a bad foul just poor timing.

Slaughtering a player who gives his all will not help this situation.

Eriksen is so much better than him. He might not be as fit but for sure will be less of a liability.

As it has been said time and time again, he needs to go. Not just being removed from captaincy, he needs to be removed from the club. I respect his efforts but he's one of the biggest reasons why we're in the hole where we are.

He’s been utterly terrible this season. Anyone defending this is fanboy. He was terrible last season except March April. He was terrible season before and was awful in Ole Ragnick year.

As for sending offs he’s been lucky in past to not had more, but now his utter stupidity is come home to roost.

Utter fraud of player.

Bruno has been very bad recently but it's ridiculous to blame him for the red card. He had two fouls in the game and the second one is never ever a second yellow.

tweet exaggeration aside - was the only one i found with a short video - you are legitimately trying to argue that this isn't a yellow:

I think it seems Bruno has lost something from his game, especially in terms of ball control, as if his feet were not as quick/agile as they used to be. He seems to run slower too.
This might be a dip in form or age-related decline, who knows?

The point is, any decently run "big" club, given Bruno age ,would have a plan in place of selling him and capitalizing on whatever value can be recovered as well as bringing a replacement.

Are we a decently run club?

2nd part is important. He’s often been one of our worst players in many big games even if it’s ended up with an assist

Craptain? Grow up mate. Also, quite clearly hasn't been crap since his second season here.

He really has. Historical beatings, getting outplayed by relegation fodder. Portugal has under performed with him.

The common denominator is Bruno and his all or nothing shite.

Yes he creates chances, but how many chances are created for the other team when he tries hero ball or gets muscled off the ball?

Only one question, does it surprise you he got sent off?

I realised how inevitable it seemed when he made the challenge, he was never fast but the game seems to be getting away from him more and more these days.

ah, i see. this explains why you didn't think the second yellow was deserved

In what sense? That he was slow?

I’m more surprised he doesn’t seem to think about things

He got a new contract after United's worst points tally in the PL when he was rubbish for the whole season. He got another extension 2 years later after United's worst finish in the PL when he was rubbish again apart from the last few weeks of the season.
