I thought he had improved his ball retention last year, particularly in games like Everton at home when he played deep and controlled the game but he has regressed back to 100 mph only play. There are many players capable of being as creative as him (Eriksen, KDB, Maddison etc etc) but all of those players also know when/how to calm it down - It's been almost 4 years now and still the same problem.

What I do know is that players can't be this inconsistent at the top level. Imagine where we would be if him and Rashford produced a full season of consistent top performances. I don't get it. He seems to be a hard working top pro.

I became so frustrated with him tonight (especially seeing as he would have to break a limb to get dropped in this Utd team) that I had to do a quick check on his age.
Thank goodness he is 29 and closer to the end. I was so scared at the thought of him being in his mid 20s.

Having grown up in the era of elegant midfielders and idolising someone like Scholes playing for united for his vision, control and awareness of the game. I die a bit every single time I watch this guy playing football for us. A football criminal who has zero regards for anything on the pitch other than his stat padding with his consistent hoof ball. He has single handedly sucked the joy out of me watching us playing football.

National team level is probably about championship level. There's no organization, no greqt footballing structure. It mainly relies in individual brilliance... Just like us... Just like what Bruno is good at.
Some Players have this trait That immadietely when they receive the Ball, the game slows down. Bruno is the exact opposite, somehow the time speeds up with him. Its quite extraordinary, I can not think of many Players like that.

Sometimes player loses his form, it's normal and happens everytime to everyone, it's manager's duty to recognize it and act accordingly.
With all due respect to Bruno and his Stats, My personal opinion is its actually easier to accommodate Pogba and have him look part in Top team rather than Fernandes .
With Fernandes as your Center piece you can forget about competing at Top Level and if he isn't the centerpiece then he simply doesn't warrant a place as regular for Any Club with serious ambitions Lucky for Him it seems We aren't one anymore and he can continue to stink the place out for few more years .

And when he and Bruno were both at United there was no comparison of their performances
Bruno has never done it as the centrepiece anywhere. That’s the point the poster is making , so instead do you accommodate them? Pogba has demonstrated the ability to be part of great teams without having to have to be the main man. Without high XA what is the point of Bruno.
As for comparable, you could compare Bruno’s first three months with Ole’s first three months. Beyond that period Bruno has been largely shite. 1 great game in 5 was often labelled at Pogba. Despite regular spells of good form. 1 great game in 5 for Bruno….Id take that, rarely seen it since the first three months he was here.
He was shocking today in the first half and a little better 2nd half, but he was totally drunk tonight.

I’ve just looked back…April I’d say, he was largely very good in most if not all of the games. Everything else is…yeah patchy. With some horror shows thrown in like 7-0.
Well let's put it this way Pogba can actually work in a top team as a Supplemental player with his skill set and can be an asset , but Bruno can't for me he has to be the main man for him to even justify his place in the team but if you do that then you simply can't become a top team so this whole debates hinges upon what's the end goal for the Club if it's top 4 then we continue to keep on plodding for few more before making the decision.
But if the aim is actually to build the team actually worthy of competing for the biggest trophies then this should be the last season for Bruno as a starter for United better still get some money while we still can move him on in Summer .

Possibly his worst game in a utd shirt tonight? Captain material? I’m not sure? Is he trying to get Ten Hag the sack? We are only 6 off top we can still salvage something but the players have to want it.
I have never been a fan of him but I have always admitted that he can be brilliant at times.
His general play leaves a lot to be desired. I have never seen a playmaker as bad he is in possession. He loses so many duels. But worst of all, he is so poor at ball circulation. He is a huge reason we don’t control games. People need to admit it.

Our only good game this year was without him and Rashford, that's no coincidence.
I wonder why we didnt get jamea maddison when he is available on reasonable price. A proven playmaker who can step in for bruno when he is out of form. Now we are stuck with him and no ready replacement to step up.
We have Mount. Not sure what he does though.

I am not sure if Mount is a specialised playmaker in the mould of Maddison who has been influential in controlling games for his ex clubs. Mount is a player who capable to slot in midfields and attacking roles but I also can't figure out which is his specialty and if he can exert his prescence and control the game.

Was it his best game? No. I actually felt, especially in the first half, he was trying to force opportunities for Hojlund. There was more than one occassion when I felt he ignored Rashford to try and go centrally, when it was the wrong decision. However, as we got into the game after the half an hour mark he began to find Rashy with the ball in behind Sheff Utd's right back.
