Television Breaking Bad

Excellent episode.

It's just struck me that ever since Hank had the arrest warrant for Mike, he's never once talked about him again. Seems a bit strange that

Damn, that was intense. Great episode, the trick hank pulled on White was fantastic, shouldn't have taken the time to savour his supposed victory though.

Interesting that Walt is so against killing hank though. I hope they shed some more light on that.

All these cliff hangers were fine when I had whole seasons to go through but now it's just evil!

You mean other than them being both family and, until recently, close friends?

I've always got the feeling that Jesse was closer to him than hank. Yet he's willing to kill Jesse and not hank.

Actually it's probably because his wife would never forgive him and consequently he'd lose his immediate family.

Loved the phone conversation between Walt and Jesse, even Jesse calling him "Walt" instead of "Mr. White" was epic.

I also liked that Hank basically used the same plan that Walt was using to lure Jesse. Threaten something dear to them to lure them in, with Jesse it was his ex, with Walt it was his money.

Any scene with Saul in it is great too.

Saul if brilliant. A really good character. You know he appeared in Arrested Development as a Shrink?

I've changed my mind. The breaking bad spin off can't be based on just Walt junior. It must now also have huell as the other lead. Smashing television.

So true

I thought if Hank was to die this last episode would have been perfect, I don't know what they have in store for us. They're dragging this on purpose the fecking cnuts, Gomie has made his time, I have no doubt he'll die.

Such a wonderful show. Anybody who hasn't been following it and has decided to start is in for an absolute treat

^ That's what the credit screen is like every week.

This is the first season I've watched week to week, the waiting is very frustrating when you're used to blasting through 2 or 3 episodes at a time.

Walt needs to stop playing both sides (concerned family man, criminal boss). If he's gonna be a criminal, he can't have any qualms about eliminating those who encroach on his turf. Yes, Hank and Jesse. They should have been "got" a few episodes ago.

They can kill Jesse now, he's a rabid dog at the moment, no pun intended.

This is what's amazing about Walt's character. The constant battle he has with right and wrong - though admittedly there are a lot more wrongs than there are rights.

I don't see how Hank isn't going to die. Someone is going to escape, it looks like Jesse at the moment. This cliffhanger was really cruel though.

Jesse certainly won't die in this/next episode. He wasn't given remotely the set up for it, and this isn't The Wire, where people can die without any fanfare.

It's the perfect episode/set up for Hank to die though. I can only assume that if they are doing that, they're holding it over because the opening of the next is too good to rush.

Or they're just fecking with us.

Really? A constant battle with right and wrong? I think that battle was won by "Wrong" somewhere back in Season 1.

True enough, but it's the way he wants to protect Jesse and Hank which gives him the extra dimension instead of just 'only' being a ruthtless stone cold killer. If that were the case, Breaking Bad the show would be finished now.

One thing that I thought from the episode was Walt's confession really came quick down the phone, I mean he went into a lot of detail and implicated himself big time and all the while it was out of panic and something that's pretty out of character from him. That said, I think when he sees that Jesse was working with Hank it shows he was surprised by that big time. I thought that was a good touch, as well as the 'Coward' line.

Definitely a hugely intense episode.

Well shit me pink!

That was intense! Hank surely has to die now, but if he does then what about Marie?

Next two episodes are going to be colossal!

Ricin and M60 are for the nazis. Have to be!

Anyway, I'm not watching next weeks episode and having a double bill, so two fecking weeks to wait!!

For sure, he only knows Jesse to be a drug dealing junkie shit. I would want him to die too if I was Hank.
Why should Hank care about Jesse? All he knows about Jesse is he's a drug dealer who's directly killed and been directly involved in multiple murders, screwed around Hank personally (the whole Marie in the hospital thing), and only because Walt's actions ended up eventually hit him personally as well is he willing to help.

It's testament to Hank's desperation to catch Walt that he's prepared to actually be cordial to Jesse in order to do so.
He shouldn't care especially for him but I don't find considering your witnesses dispensable an endearing trait in a cop.
Er, Hank is an upstanding family man with strong moral convictions and Jesse is a feck up, amongst other things.
I find him really boring. He also has an annoying gurn.

You do know there's 3 episodes left?

It's a good thing that it's ending in three episodes. At this pace, if they pan it out for longer, it is going to start rotting.

You can't end it there!

It was so fecking tense before Jack's crew arrived. I was expecting one of Jesse or Hank to suddenly be shot out of nowhere.

I love how everyone was panicking and running scared and Meth Damon was just like shooting ducks at a carnival.

Where does Jesse think he'll be left after he helps Hank? After all he is still guilty of cooking and dealing, murder, theft etc. he's surely in for a similar if not slightly more lenient sentence as Walt?

He'd be in witness protection I imagine. They'd probably let him off and send him to Belize or something (only literally). They wouldn't risk giving him jail time in an American prison when they know people would be after him and would want to kill him if he sent down Walt.

Jesse just wants Walt taken down for what he's done. Right after Hank found him about to torch Walt's house he's screaming that Walt can't keep getting away with what he's doing. Plus Hank said it'll work out for Jesse better if he co-operates (whether he meant it or not I don't know).

Anyway that was a pretty intense episode and the fact that Walt's greed lead to his downfall was nice. Constant cliffhangers are getting a bit annoying though.

Don't think it's annoying at all personally. If ever there was a time for crazy cliffhangers it's now with so few episodes to go.

When Walter was losing his mind and spewing out how everything he did was to protect him, I couldn't help but think that the conversation might have been recorded.

I don't think he cares, at this point. He just wants Walt punished.
