Television Breaking Bad

Season 5 episode 5 (Dead Freight) is probably my favorite episode ( Train Robbery episode ) , the tension was palpable on first viewing.

Seing this thread bumped I thought there's another season coming.

I think the show peaked early for me, looking back. There's something about season 1 and 2 that hit different. It's a shame season 1 only had 7 episodes I love the dark comedy aspect and the cinematography while not as crisp as later on, was very distinct and cool.

So I'm watching the show for the first time and last night finished the episode with the fly, what are people's opinions on it?

To me it was a bit of a boring episode but I look online and there's people who say it's a masterpiece because of the metaphors in the episode. Not gonna lie I didn't really get any metaphors when watching it but curious to see what people on here think.

So much was made about that episode and theories that it was metaphorical representation of Walt's guilt / need for control. But in reality, it was only filmed because of massive budgetary restrictions which meant that they had to film a "bottle episode" in a single location.

Hugely divisive episode, but i honestly don't know why people get so hung up on it.

Yeah I figured it would have something to do with budget, the only part of the episode that really meant anything was Walt's speech while high as a kite on Benadryl.

Can't it be both a introspective episode that plays out like a stage play while also being the product of budgetary limitations?
On rewatch it was one of my favourite episodes. Wouldn't call it a masterpiece but it's excellent

‘We’re done’: owner of Walter White’s house in Breaking Bad puts it on market – for $4m

Modest family home in Albuquerque has a price tag fit for a meth kingpin – but owner Joanne Quintana warns buyers to prepare for hundreds of visitors a day

I can't see anyone buying it as a home, the price is way above the average for the area and thus I think someone will buy it and transform it into a museum.

I feel sorry for the owners but they seem so stubborn and brought undue stress upon themselves. They could have cashed out years ago but I imagine they live in a constant state of anxiety with tourists coming to the house every day.

I've got the first few episodes of this to watch, but there is so much good TV at the moment.

I've also heard very good things about Lie To Me - starring Tim Roth.
I accidentally clicked on first page. This guy has my favourite ever username

is @Handjob Bob sill around?

I'd buy the house, turn it into the movie set and do walking tours. You'd make loads of money.

God would I hate to live in that neighborhood. People travelling only to see an incredibly boring and normal house because of a TV show, located within an absolutely normal neighborhood, must be among the worst kinds of tourists imaginable. Almost as bad as people who travel to visit overcrowded social media spots.
