Battlefield: Bad Company 2

And no gay glitches. I've lost count of the amount of times MW2 has been broken.

The SP wasn't bad, I finished it, but I bought it for the MP, as I imagine most people did.

I've started to enjoy playing as a medic, bringing people back to life and what not. The guns are pretty powerful, too. And fully automatic, which I like. I had become accustomed to the three shot burst of the M16.

Rank 14 now, and I just found out at the weekend how to spot people.

Spot people?

Spot people?
Yeah, I'm on PS3, when you have someone in your sights, you press select and it causes a yellow flag to appear over your enemy's head. They also show up on the map. It means that everyone in your team can now detect them. If someone else kills them, you get points for the spot.

It's another clever way to encourage people to play as a team.

I dont think anyone knows this.

My brother (who plays on the 360) told me about it. You will most likely have seen people who have been spotted before. I know I had, I just didn't know what the hell it was. It's a very handy way to pick up points (I think it's +20 for a spot assist).

Cool. Might be worth a look at then. MW2 is full of people that must play it 20hours a day.
Just understand going in that it's a very different gaming experience. You can't spin on a sixpence like you can in MW2 and the game moves more slowly. You also can't memorise the maps to the same extent that you can with MW2.

As someone who has nearly prestige'd twice, it took me a while to get used to. I'm glad I persevered, though.

I only play hardcore mode so they dont get the arrows over their heads, i also usually use the spotting scope so i get alot of these 'spot' assists, i thought it sounded familiar,

You can also press select on the bases to get attack points if the squad attacks it. YOu can also do it just before you blow up the stations for easy points.

Finished levelling the sniper class, started on medic, i love running around with the shotgun as a medic, its awesome. Especially indoors earlier during maps before the buildings get too many walls, and through dense bush where its common for people to be sniping. All my christmases came at once when a squad of 3 spawned on their only live spawn member right infront of me in a small wooden hut. Cleaned house!

Has anyone experienced sound problems with the PS3 version of this?

I bought it today and although the sound is supposed to be one of the best things about this game, for me it sucks really bad. Everything sounds muffled, the guns sound awful and the echo effect when in a room is really weird.

I have tried searching online for info but all i turn up is people saying how great the muffled effect when you get hit by the shockwave of an explosion is....or people having sound issues with various audio chips on the PC version.

Or is it supposed to sound like this?? (I hope not)

I have the PC version and I had sound issues with the single player campaign(especially on cutscenes and not being able to hear voices) but have had no issues with multiplayer.

I havn't played the single player in a while so have no idea if those issues have been solved.

My internet has been fecked for ages so I haven't been able to play ps3 for a while. It's a bit better now so I decided to buy Aliens vs Predator, MX vs ATV Reflex and Just Cause 2...

...but I couldn't bare to take BC2 out of the machine. Played it earlier for the first time in ages, bit rusty at first but after 15 minutes or so I rinsed the entire oppo team. Amazing game. Attacking on Rush is as good as it gets.

I think maybe i'm just used to the way things are done in COD. All my friends play BC2 and i've never had the urge to buy it after playing it at their houses... I think it's just a different sort of gameplay etc. I also don't like how you are so limited to maps, and how there is only 4 or 5 game modes/ types.

It's not for everyone, I actually find COD a bit tedious [shock horror]. Give it more than 20 mins or rent it and if you still don't like it, fair enough.

Stuck at the part where 3 choppers attack you on top of the hill in the desert area.

Whoever has this on PS3 add me.... Oh yeah, and how do you parachute?

Should do a few squad matches on this Spammo (and anyone else), let us know when you're up for it.... I'm at an okay level now...

Nothing worse than being in a shite squad....

I haven't played this in weeks. I should really get back into it.

Hows Just Cause going? :D

I've played well over 10 hours and yet I've just completed 14% of the game!

Excellent game... but a few questions:

How does ranking work? Recently my skill level has been around the 190 mark... and consequential I keep getting put into games with people ranked 20-30 ranks above me. It's a bit annoying as these cnuts pretty much know every map back to front, and know every cheap trick in the book.

Do I play shit for an evening hoping that my skill level drops?

Oh and I fcuking hate circle strafing choppers... I usually leave the other team members to it, when I see one of those although I've shot down a few with AA.

Any of you lot still playin?

Is it me or when joining a quick game online is there no one ever talking on this? Also sometimes teams don't have that many players on. Where as Mw2, even the old COD has a room full and you'll hear someone talking all the time. Good game though, different.

Haven't had that problem (player numbers), what are you playing on?

Also speech is confined to squads, some squads do talk, some don't, my headset is caked so I'm part of the latter...
